This book is a delicate journey between two young men that have endured so much hatred and pain. This is hurt/comfort to the core and my emotions went through a roller coaster.

Philipp is out and proud but has endured a  relationship where he has been degraded and hurt both emotionally and physically. This especially in regards to sex and intimacy.

Adrien is out but not of his own making and the way he was outed has put a mark on how he sees the world and the people in it.

I want to hurt both the ex's of the MCs, especially Philipp's. I can't fathom what he has endured and the fact that he manages to trust Adrien is a sign of how strong he is.

I enjoy the setting of the book, with it being in central-ish Europe and with the backdrop of dance. As a reader you realize how important the dancing is for all of the characters even if not all of them participate in the endeavors on stage.

The book is emotional, it both breaks and heals your heart at the same time. So have tissues nearby and snuggle up for a wonderful read.

Master Zane's boys by Morticia Knight

3.75

This is the first book in the Club Sensation series but it is connected to the Command & Care series by Morticia Knight. This can be read as a stand-alone and it is a snack since it is less than 200 pages long.

The book is about Daddy Zane and his long-time partner/boy/little Ryan and how they find their 3rd. They have been looking for a while but no one has been perfect for them then Ty comes into their life and the connection is instant. But can they survive Ty's secrets when they are revealed? Zane just knows he has his job cut out for himself with protecting both boys and working on the relationship they are building. ❤️

Somehow Morticia manages to fit an action-packed storyline together with the build of a new relationship and so much heat in such a short story. This showcases that not all books need to be 400+ pages to give us a good storyline that leaves you wanting more.
Treasuring Michael by R.S. McKenzie

Treasuring Michael is Cinderella but with so many twists. And to understand the characters of Michael and Damon better, reading Taming Savage first will help. The attraction is palpable but the trust is not there and I enjoy it when it takes some time for the characters to fully trust each other. This story gives the original story fun and unexpected twists.
Trusting Quin by R.S. McKenzie

Trusting Quin is inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. In this book, the inspiration is more subtle but no less wonderful to read. This book is a bit heavier in some parts of the storyline but it is also lighter in some ways. The meeting between Red and Quin sets the whole story off and there is instant attraction/love between them, even if the way that they met is more savoury than sweet.

This is the first book by RS McKenzie I have read and this was such a good start. This book is a sweet short read with a lot of feelings and heat. 🥰🔥

Unexpected Fate is the second book in the Fair Falls Fated series but I feel like you can read it as a stand-alone.
As a reader of Teen Wolf fanfiction I am not a stranger to the universe of Alpha - Omegas, kn*tting and Mpreg so with that background this book was quite tame.

It is a classic boss employee story with a hard-working assistant (Benji) and a boss (Rome) who is tough as nails and clashes more than get along. But they are also attracted to each other and when Benji unexpectedly goes into heat Rome decides to help and this is where the story starts. But the storyline is not only about Benji and Rome's spicy moments, it takes on some harder subjects so I would advise you to read the trigger warnings beforehand.

It has been a minute since I read a book set in an Omega universe, but this one makes me want to find more books like this and go a different route than I usually do.
Flipping the Script by Willow Dixon

4.5

This is Willow Dixon's new book series that is connected to Crimson Club but will be about a new set of people/friends.

We have met Jesse before and his story has been on my mind since and I am not disappointed in what we got.

I am a sucker for enemies to lovers and hate turned into love and this book just so perfectly balances the push and pull Jesse and Sebastian have. It is not an “Oh we have mad hot chemistry” and now we like each other, it is a journey of misunderstanding and understanding the person you have next to you. And it is about wanting to connect on a deeper level and trust that the person you end up with won’t hurt you even if that would be the easiest option. ❤️❤️❤️

The saying “Just one more time” fits Jesse and Sebastian so well, because they can’t seem to stop when they finally start.

The book is spicy and slightly k!nky but it has a nice balance. They have an insane chemistry and emotions do run high but over time they start to soften and understand that they do care for each other and want to protect each other. Some interesting family dynamics are going on, that will make you melt but also some things will make you p*ssed off, just an FYI.

This is a very nice start to this new series, but it needs to be said that you can read it as a standalone. But I think that the books' side characters will make you want to read the next book and all the following.
The Falcon and the Foe by A.J. Truman

I fell in love with this book! It was hilarious, sweet, angsty and all things in between. The storyline is quite straightforward, two single dads who couldn't be more different. You could say that they have that enemies-to-lovers vibe because they may hate each other but they are also very attracted to each other. 😉😉😉

Russ is in the words of Cal, a stuck-up, anal (not in the fun way) scout leader that is #DadGoals and when the scout trope he leads needs a new co-leader, Cal volunteers out of spite.

But the longer they work together, the more they realize that the other person is not as bad as they thought and that they have more income than they first thought.
Both may have sworn off romance to focus on their kids but que a too-small tent, smores and skinny dipping to change the trajectory of their relationship forever. ⛺️💦🍪

The book is filled with snarky banter, tent puns and spice to fill an evening in front of the fire. You will laugh and you will cry and you will swoon. 👀👀👀

This is the first book in the Single Dads Club and also the first book from A.J. Truman I have read. And I just know that I will fill my TBR with more books from him.

Taming Savage by R.S. McKenzie

Taming Savage is the retelling of Beauty and the Beast and in this book, you get the essence of that classic story, but with the twist of mafia relations and such. Savage is the perfect beast, you can not help but feel for him but also be mad at him when he does stupid s*it. Abel is wonderful and I love that he doesn't give up on finding his happiness and trying to understand Savage and in some instances tame him.

The Billionaire Brotherhood #3

This series just gets better and better.

Dev who came to Majestic to hide and get the time to heal after his brother's fatal car accident. An accident Dev feels responsible for and an accident that has put a wedge in his family. He just wants to enjoy the calm nature and his horses.

But 2 years ago Dev helped a friend out when she wanted a baby but not a man. And when she sadly passed away Tully, a friend and co-worker of hers, brings Dev's daughter Lellie to him in Majestic. When they meet sparks fly, because not only have they met before but they shared a sizzling hot encounter together that made both long for more.

It felt quite natural that Dev struggled with his daughter and that he doesn't know what to do. The struggle of should he keep her or not brings an extra layer to his backstory and the fact that he misses his family but he can’t trust himself to love again.

Tully is the calm in the storm, he may seem a bit stoic but he just wants what is best for Lellie. He also struggles with his job as an lawyer and the fact that his boss wants him to discredit Dev as a father just so that they can keep Lellies grandparents as clients. Because in their world money rules and is the one thing that makes the world go around. What no one knows is the money Lellie has in her trust fund is nothing compared to the money Dev has in his bank account.

This book is about finding family and trusting yourself and others with your heart. It’s hilarious, spicy and a bit sad. I just adore that Tully is thrown right into this small town with matchmakers all over and that neither he or Dev have much say in what is going to happen. I love that they build trust and affection not just for each other but for that wonderful girl Lellie.

In a way I want more of this book but I also can’t wait for the next one and see what happens with Zane and Ryan.

Rough Country by Kelly Fox

4.5

I just know when Kelly Fox releases a new series that it will take my breath away and make me swoon for cowboys and wild open spaces.

This one is hilarious, spicy and a fast read.

Let me set the scene for you;

Emery, a man from the city that moves to the countryside with his horse loving daughter Stevie. He is not the best when it comes to things like ladders and painting but he tries okey. Not only that, his new neighbor is a sight for sore eyes.

Woody, a grump cowboy with a broken heart and an eccentric t-shirt collection. He doesn't know what to do about his new neighbor. Should he strangle him or just kiss him. I mean the dating app says that they are pretty much a perfect match. And the photos, well they make it hard to resist.

The story is fast paced and sweet with spice for days. I enjoy that patience Emery emits when it comes to Woody and that they somehow build their own little family together with Stevie and all the animals. I also enjoy the fact that we get a smidge of what is coming next with Rowdy and Kess. I am forever grateful that this stand alone will get a part 2 in Pure Country.
