Flipping the Script by Willow Dixon
4.5
This is Willow Dixon's new book series that is connected to Crimson Club but will be about a new set of people/friends.
We have met Jesse before and his story has been on my mind since and I am not disappointed in what we got.
I am a sucker for enemies to lovers and hate turned into love and this book just so perfectly balances the push and pull Jesse and Sebastian have. It is not an “Oh we have mad hot chemistry” and now we like each other, it is a journey of misunderstanding and understanding the person you have next to you. And it is about wanting to connect on a deeper level and trust that the person you end up with won’t hurt you even if that would be the easiest option. ❤️❤️❤️
The saying “Just one more time” fits Jesse and Sebastian so well, because they can’t seem to stop when they finally start.
The book is spicy and slightly k!nky but it has a nice balance. They have an insane chemistry and emotions do run high but over time they start to soften and understand that they do care for each other and want to protect each other. Some interesting family dynamics are going on, that will make you melt but also some things will make you p*ssed off, just an FYI.
This is a very nice start to this new series, but it needs to be said that you can read it as a standalone. But I think that the books' side characters will make you want to read the next book and all the following.
