Rough Country by Kelly Fox
4.5
I just know when Kelly Fox releases a new series that it will take my breath away and make me swoon for cowboys and wild open spaces.
This one is hilarious, spicy and a fast read.
Let me set the scene for you;
Emery, a man from the city that moves to the countryside with his horse loving daughter Stevie. He is not the best when it comes to things like ladders and painting but he tries okey. Not only that, his new neighbor is a sight for sore eyes.
Woody, a grump cowboy with a broken heart and an eccentric t-shirt collection. He doesn't know what to do about his new neighbor. Should he strangle him or just kiss him. I mean the dating app says that they are pretty much a perfect match. And the photos, well they make it hard to resist.
The story is fast paced and sweet with spice for days. I enjoy that patience Emery emits when it comes to Woody and that they somehow build their own little family together with Stevie and all the animals. I also enjoy the fact that we get a smidge of what is coming next with Rowdy and Kess. I am forever grateful that this stand alone will get a part 2 in Pure Country.
