I really liked this. Christina and Patrick were cute and I liked how Patrick helped Christina grow into a more confident and happier person. Patrick's side of the story was a little lackluster but I wasn't mad about it. This was just them mainly fucking but honestly who's mad about it.

I honestly didn’t think I would like this book based on the blurb but I decided to take a chance anyways. The blurb just wasn’t pulling me in. But once I started reading…

I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with degradation as a kink. This was surprisingly HOT! It was so unexpected! I really thought the heroine was an idiot and that she was just so naive. But then I started to like her at the end when the feelings started coming out. I love when the MCs start owning their shit. It’s the best part of the enemies-to-lovers trope when both characters realize their idiots in love for each other and stop denying it. Can we say *swoon*?

Christina was desperately trying to find herself and free herself from her parents disappointment in her for not being the “perfect” daughter. So she made an unlikely deal with Patrick. Over time she was able to finally see herself and her value after forming this relationship was Patrick.

Once the masks were off the chemistry was just amazing and I began to love everything about this pairing.

4 stars mainly for the spice because it was delicious. But also for the plot and the emotional build up. Im a sucker for the dramaaaaa

Actual rating 4.5 stars. This is not the type of typical books I usually read, but I was so drawn in by the synopsis I had to request an arc. I am so glad I did because it was amazing. I will definitely have to check more books out by Miranda Silver because the way she writes has you needing to know what happens next. Christina is the girl who everyone thinks has their life together, except she's slowly starting to lose control. She's tired of trying to meet everyone's expectations. Patrick just came back from Rome after a year away and nobody really knows what happened to him during that time to make him so quiet and cold. Patrick has a proposition for Christina. He will pay her for sex, but she has to follow his rules. Priceless is told mostly in Christina's point of view with a few chapters going to Patrick's point of view. I felt this helped the reader understand Patrick better by seeing how his mind works and what his life was truly like. This book definitely brought the steam. It was dark, sexy, and emotional. It's hard to write a review for this book without giving a lot away because it's so good and you just want others to dive in the book in the dark. After all, in the dark it's harder to lie...

For a book with a sex-based theme and categorized as erotica, Priceless had an unexpectedly well developed storyline. It has dark in the title but I don’t personally consider it dark.

What I liked:

*Dual POV

* The heroine wasn’t the typical poor girl working her ass off to make it through college. She was a “normal” girl from a pretty normal background who made some bad choices. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Cinderella story but it’s a common trope and it’s nice to see it done differently.

* The hero isn’t a rich boy with excess money to throw around. He has particular sexual needs and reasons for why he prefers a paid arrangement.

* Their chemistry was fire. They complemented one another so well with regard to what they got out of the arrangement. There’s some mild degradation/humiliation, praise kink, and BDSM. Nothing I found too crazy, but there were some unique scenes.
“You’re perfect,” he crooned, hypnotic. “You’re such a good little whore. You want me to put a price on the way you come? Or the blush on your skin when I tell you the truth? How cute you are when you cry, because you’re so overwhelmed by the way I fuck you? How much you love it when I hurt you a little? How much I love it when you snarl at me in bed? I can’t. You’re priceless. You were made for me.”
When the story starts, Christina is trying to get back on track after a downward spiral. Her bad circumstances were entirely of her own making rather than arising from external issues, which honestly made her a bit less sympathetic as a character in the beginning. She comes across as a bit of a fuckup. She’s in danger of failing out of school due to her own irresponsibility and excessive partying. She’s broke and owes money to her Adderall dealer.

Christina’s issues stemmed from circumstances that seemed almost mundane compared to some of the set-ups I’ve seen in other books, but it worked. She struggles with being in the shadow of her older sister. She never feels good enough. She wastes her money trying to impress people who aren’t worth impressing.

Patrick on the other hand, is kind of a mysterious character to begin with. Emotionally reserved and a bit cold. He’s in a fraternity but doesn’t seem to fit into a “fraternity” mold. Like Christina, he doesn’t have a super tragic background but it’s clear he has his own struggles due to past events. At heart, he’s a good guy, even if he doesn’t seem to think he is.

When he overhears Christina discussing her dire circumstances on her cell phone, he steps in to make her an offer that will benefit them both. She’s reluctant at first but decides to give it a try.

One of the things I really liked was how Patrick saw through Christina’s façade and wouldn’t let her be fake with him. That drove her to be more honest in other aspects of her life, and she had a good character arc with regard to growth. It was satisfying to see her set aside that fake, people-pleasing persona and get real.

What I didn’t like:

I felt like Patrick could have had more development with his character. We see him start to open himself up more but there were things that could have been tied up better in the end. It felt a bit rushed, which is why I took off half a star. Otherwise, it was great and made me want to check out other books by this author.

Was not a huge fan. Heat was high and spicy scenes were great, however the plot and characterization were not great. Just seemed very thrown together and rushed towards the end. This was a book that I gave a sigh of relief at the end because it was finally over.

This book surprised me in the best way - although its premise was a bit morally questioning, the story evolved so well!
