Well this book was...full of surprise. I'm not even sure if I liked it or not, I feel like I just woke up from some kind of fever dream. I enjoyed my time reading it most of the time, there was definitely some cringe moments, scenes where I just wanted to scream at the characters at their stupidity but overall it wasn't a bad book. I love Freida McFadden, she is definitely one of my favorite authors but this was felt weak for her usual brilliant novels. It was a quick read though so that was nice.
Also I haven't trusted a single person in this novel except Noah and Emma.
The anonymous narrator's chapters fascinated me, definitely kept guessing who it could be and while I had a guess I was so so wrong about their identity. It definitely shocked me when I found out the truth at the end.

"For the first time in my life, here—at the University, at Malstrom’s—I feel that I matter.”
Nye’s silver gaze bore into mine, and he clasped my chilly hands within his own. “You certainly do to me.”
A brilliant historical fiction novel with true crime and dark academia interwoven with murder, greed, and the grisly origins of modern medicine.
The writing style absolutely fascinated me, it was so smart and perfectly flawless. There were so many laugh at loud moments in the book even at the darkest moments the author could have turned around the situation into something fun. I absolutely loved every aspect of this story, it was the perfect amount of darkness with shred of hope and lightness behind. It was a thought-provoking and engaging novel that I enjoyed every moment of.
I loved the romantic aspect of the story between James and Aneurin. I haven't read a historical fiction with queer characters before and I absolutely loved when their relationship started to bloom. They were so sweet with lots of witty banter.
The author's note at the end gave an extra special feel to the book, explaining the true crime elements to the story and the historical background behind the novel.
I highly recommend reading it to everyone especially if you love dark tales and true crime.

I'm so happy to say that I finally read IT, I wanted to read this book since I first seen the movies years ago. Once I've had a nice but weird dream after watching the movies, that Pennywise was my friend and now however unusual it might sound it feels like IT truly became my friend. That they all became my friends and I'm in Derry with them. It's like I can smell the circus and see the balloons. I absolutely loved this novel, I can't even express how brilliant of a time I've had reading it. I started on my Kindle then put on the audiobook as well which was remarkable. The narrator did a fantastic job on the voices and making the whole experience even more special.
The novel was so good, Stephen King is definitely one of my all time favorite authors, his writing style is perfect, IT was so brutal, scary sometimes and also funny in places. I had so much fun, I couldn't stop reading it and towards the end I just didn't wanted to finish it. My favorite scene both in the movie and the book were the bathroom scene I loved how detailed it was written down I could picture the whole scene so well.
If you love horror then please don't hesitate to pick up this brilliant novel if you haven't already. It's a long one but honestly I could definitely read a 1000 more pages of IT!

Inspired by a real-life flu epidemic in Moscow, To The Lake is an adventurous, emotional and challenging read. A twelve day journey from Moscow to Lake Vongozaro.
I’ve seen the Netflix series first, before knowing it was based on a book. The show is definitely very different, there’s so many characters that are left out and the storyline not exactly focuses on the trip. However I enjoyed both the series and the novel. The book is a slower paced read keep that in mind but I was never bored while reading it. It always interesting and full of tension. To The Lake was definitely a read that will stay with me for a long time.
Highly recommend reading this novel!

Emotional, disturbing and thought-provoking read. Wow Jon Athan did it again with this brilliant and brutal story! I absolutely loved every second of my time reading it! The story reminded me of ‘The Groomer’ which is one of my all time favorite by the author.
To all extreme horror readers out there, don’t hesitate to pick up 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬' 𝐃𝐞𝐧 and honestly every other book by Jon if you haven’t already. He is definitely one of my favorite author!
Don’t forget to check out the trigger warnings if you think you need them.

I cried 4% into the book, I truly don’t know what I was expecting by the title…
𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 is a magical Christmas themed horror novel with a lot of twists, adventure and living Christmas ornaments. It was a suspenseful and entertaining read. A journey where we can learn why Tom Barnes hates Christmas so much. With dual timeline we can see all the traumatic events that happened in his childhood. The character development is incredible and not just with his character.
The book discusses death and grief through the magic of Christmas. I highly recommend reading it if you’re looking for your next holiday read!

Wow, what a fantastic story! Gory, twisted and romantic in the same time. A perfect MM splattery dark romance read that I couldn’t get enough.
Aiden E. Messer did it again, literally every single book they write is always phenomenal.
Highly recommend checking out Debasing Seth!
Thank you so much Aiden for the ARC of your wonderful book.

The author’s note in the beginning was the only thing I appreciated about this book. It was emotional and touching so I thought the poetry itself would be just as beautiful but I was so wrong.
I felt the poems out of place for what they were supposed to be, like the introduction were written for a different story. I just couldn’t understand the meaning behind the words. The author mentioned in the introduction We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. I’m not sure if I would have read that one then this could’ve been a better experience or not but at the moment I didn’t enjoyed this read at all.

“ℳ𝒶𝓎𝒷𝑒 𝒾𝓉 𝓌𝒶𝓈𝓃’𝓉 𝑔𝒾𝓋𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒾𝓃. ℳ𝒶𝓎𝒷𝑒 𝒾𝓉 𝓌𝒶𝓈 𝒻𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒷𝒶𝒸𝓀.”
𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 is about the triplets Gemma, Cat, Lyn and their thirty-third year.
A story about family, love, lots of funny and emotional moments and a tons of drama. An eventful and brilliant story, where you can feel like the characters are part of you and your family. Where it doesn’t even seem like you’re reading a fictional story but something real.
Gemma was the sweetest and most genuine person ever I just wanted to protect her at all costs. She’s been through so much in her life and still she kept fighting. There was so many heartbreaking moments in her chapters especially towards the end that I found myself tearing up.
I loved the little reflections between chapters on how random people were reacting seeing the triplets at different stages of their lives. How much they changed their perspective by solely observing them. It was such a unique part of the novel that gave the reader the opportunity to see the girls and their mothers in a different light.
Liane Moriarty immediately became my favorite author while I was reading “Nine Perfect Strangers” last year which is one of all time favorite novel. This was my second book that I’ve read by her and I cannot wait to read all of her books. Her writing style and stories are just so special. I always feel myself getting emotional and drawn to her characters and talent. Once I pick up a book by her I feel like the world stops and it’s just the book and me. In the same time I don’t want to stop reading and doesn’t want it to ever end. The ending was so sweet and satisfying, I really enjoyed every moment of it.
If you love family drama, vibrant characters, an entertaining and never boring storyline then don’t hesitate to pick this novel up. It was unique and fresh. A novel to never forget.

"𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝑜𝓇𝓁𝒹 𝑔𝒾𝓋𝑒𝓈 𝒷𝒾𝓇𝓉𝒽 𝓉𝑜 𝒷𝑜𝓉𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓋𝒾𝓅𝑒𝓇 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓁𝒶𝓂𝒷, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝒸𝒽𝓊𝓇𝒸𝒽𝑒𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝑒𝒶𝒸𝒽.”
I feel so conflicted towards this story.
For the entire novel I had theories about the supernatural things happening in the novel and how it would all play out at the end. I saw the truth so clearly the whole time and every plot twist coming. I wanted to be surprised by the end and satisfied but since I guessed everything it wasn’t that delightful.
On the other hand there were so many beautiful things in this novel, the setting for example, a remote Scottish island was brilliant for this kind of mysterious read. The blooming relationship between the nanny and Mary, the little girl was heartwarming to read.
Grief was also a huge part in the novel.
Overall I found 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 a gripping and entertaining story that I enjoyed every second of it, even though I sometimes felt myself frustrated by how obvious the truth was and how Elspeth the nanny was too naive to realize it. I can recommend this one if you’re looking for a heartwarming ghost story of a nanny and a young girl’s relationship through grief.
