Kindle w KU, Alexa Audio. At first I did not think I would like this because 1) Lucy is so weird and 2) the single mom trope. But I loved it! Sweet, heart felt, easy read.

Kindle, KU, Alexa Audio | Easy read! I love being able to read a book quickly. Light fun and quirky with just enough supernatural spin. I didn’t feel attached to the characters but I want to read book 2!

KU, Kindle, Alexa Audio | Great novella. Looking forward to reading Book #1. But I still wait until I am ready for that emotional commitment.

Kindle, KU | This book took me foreverrrr to read. I almost DNF. But I felt committed to the authors and was just dissatisfied. I miss ZA. This book was not gripping, the ending was disappointing, etc. there were moments of great potential but then that plot point would just disappear.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, Kindle and Alexa Audio | The pacing of this series suggests that it would be a longer series, but it’s not! Regardless I love the deeper PLOT development of this book. Surprisingly, I’m also enjoying the slower development of Des. I wish this was a longer series for the sake of character development but I see how the plot is going to wrap up here soon.

Kindle, KU. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. 5 stars for a full heart, laugh out loud humor, beauty in writing style, well-developed characters, and a strategically developed plot. Sometimes when reading a book your heart feels full because the story is beautiful and the characters are happy. More rarely, you get that WITH a writing style that is graceful, wonderful, and makes you believe in beauty again. After reading this I am pulled back into a desire for true writing, not just stories. Stories have a time and place but this book is more than just a love story... This book is tattooed on my heart as one that has filled this little space with so much love and joy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Audiobook. “I don’t like knowing people in the context of things. ‘Oh that’s the person I workout with. That’s the person I’m in a book club with…’ Because once the context ends, so does the friendship. I yearn to know the people I love deeply and intimately. Without context, without boxes.”
I’ve been wanting to read this book since it came out and I was not disappointed. In the beginning Jennette places the “normal life occurrences” next the narcissism so naturally which demonstrates how subtle narcissism can be to the people affected by it. It also shows how easy it is to be gas lit.
Later she takes you through her grief and recovery with such sarcasm and honesty it’s comforting.
I cant wait to re-read!

Changed to ⭐️⭐️⭐️ after reading Siege and Storm which I love. Not gonna lie; Ben Barnes is the only reason I didn’t DNF book 1.
