Fml this world is everything and these characters are everything.
Somehow this one managed to break and mend my heart. This truly might be some of JLAs best work imo.
Keeping it short and sweet cause honestly I'm still processing.

I swear these books get worse and worse with each publication. Everything that happened in this book could have been a few chapters or maybe half of the story.

A Fire in the Flesh, book 3 of the Flesh and Fire series, is now available!
So much of this book just hurt. It was emotional and angsty, and so very good.
Both Sera and Nyktos (Ash) have been captured/trapped by Kolis. And Kolis? He is...scary. That is really the only word for it.
Sera is amazing in many ways. She is so strong, even as she falls apart inside. As each day passes, the embers within her grow stronger, bringing her closer to her Ascension...and death.
Ash and Sera. I seriously love them and what they are to one another. And while they are separated for most of the book, Sera's time spent with Kolis is pretty vital to the plot of both the Flesh and Fire series and the Blood and Ash series. We learn a lot about the gods, the realm, the Ascended and Revenants, and where loyalties truly lie.
There are so many important elements and plot points in this story, so be sure to pay close attention.
Another must read!

Not my favorite, definitely a bit of filler, but I could read about Sera and Nyktos forever. I think he is my favorite book boyfriend and definitely top 3 book couple. I eat them UP.
I love this series and the whole universe so I am still excited to continue reading. I just don’t think anything could compare to the first two books.
I wanted more Nyktos. A couple chapters in his POV would have done wonders, it was a lot of Sera going back and forth which got repetitive. (I understand we had to see the true cruelty of Kolis, which is why I am not being too harsh)
And daddy Nyktos’ shadows

What a wonderful and beautiful Rollercoaster of emotions I listened to it on Audible and I was giggling and kicking my feet in some parts, and upset/angry at other points! Jennifer L. Armentrout, my hat is off to you this is by far my favorite book in the series
