I KNEW THE HUSBAND WAS SUSPICIOUS I KNEW IT.

No one in this book is worth fighting for except tilly but damn if I wasn't hooked on the toxicity.

Love me some psych thrillers

Book title: Blood Orange
Author: Harriet Tyce
Part of a series? No
Format: Audio
Rating: 3/5

My thoughts:
Blood Orange by Harriet Tyce is a psychological thriller that follows Alison as she navigates her complex personal and professional relationships. While I found it relatively engaging and interesting, I can't say it's the best novel I've ever read.

The writing style is fairly easy to read, with Tyce using a combination of dialogue and narrative to keep the reader engaged throughout. The characters are not overly likeable but are crafted well and mostly believable, and the story progresses at a decent enough pace.

My overall impression of Blood Orange by Harriet Tyce was that it was just okay. While it was an interesting mystery/thriller, I thought some of the plot lines were filler-like and didn't really add much to the overall story. There were some great plot twists and suspense moments, but some of it didn’t grab me. In the end, it's an easy read that will keep you entertained and engaged, but it's not the most original or gripping story.

Decent thriller. Marriages breaking down, and some nasty characters. Nobody is without blame.

soooooo many little details that all go hand in hand. hearing this story made me realize all the different causes and effects of dysfunctional relationships mimicked and mirrored between different people. and while the situations varied, everything felt inherently connected. so interesting. definitely recommend!

This one left me with some ick.

But, I'll give it two stars because if nothing else, it was readable!

this was a rollercoaster. from the very start we’re introduced to the fucked up characters of this story, especially our main character alison. definitely towards the end of the book i felt more sympathy for her but other times her actions really were questionable and sometimes infuriating. but what was more infuriating was carl. i don’t think i’ve ever hated a person more in a book ever, everything about him made me so unbelievably angry and the fact alison never realised what he was doing until the very end. and to say he was a relationship/sex addiction therapist? LOL. this book did have me hooked though, the whole side story of the murder case wasn’t that interesting but still something to keep me reading more. i recommend if you like dark, twisted relationships/affairs, and some good plot twists. all i can say is that i wish alison had a better taste in men.

When I started this book I really didn't think I would be able to finish it. The three main characters are awful people but once I started to understand what's going on I realised how horrible one particular character is above the other 2. By the end I was rooting for Alison.
