This book was kind of magical in its way. There was a point that it referenced current day events and I realized that I wasn't reading something from the past; it was very effective in getting the reader lost in the story and savoring the process. One of the most compelling and engaging books I've read this year.

This book was thrilling all the way through. Seemed likely parts of it were embellished, but we all deserve that with our memoirs. Devoured this one. Very interesting and a full hearted read.
