The story feels in rush like the author doesn’t even want to continue anymore. It started very intriguing as rebirth, childhood friends and fake dating are my favorite tropes, but the execution was so bad. The revelation scene was so annoyingly bland, it left me dissatisfied and irritated. I’m not asking for more drama, I just thought that the author could give us more interesting climax as that was what readers were looking forward to.

The translation I read was actually very well done, but there was this missing chapter (the translator locked it) that was put in a very ‘not so good’ placed as it was near the end (ch 83). However, there was nothing I can do about it.

Next, I love how healthy Yuxing and Zhongyi’s relationship are. They understand each other, they listen to each other, they trust each other and they also communicate well with each other. I love well-communicated couples in fiction since that’s what I struggled with in real life.

[…] He easily earned three thousand in a month, free food and drinks included. These remarks about “climbing up the social ladder “ didn’t bother him at all. 

I personally adore his personality. He is so confident in himself, never bothered hearing what people are saying and focused only in what he needed to achieve. 

Lastly, this might not be my favorite but still I had a good time.

“Your Highness, I understand your everything,” Hua Cheng said quietly. “Your courage, your despair. Your kindness, your pain. Your resentment, your hate. Your wisdom, your foolishness. If I could, I would have you use me as your stepping stone, the bridges you take apart after crossing, the bones you need to trample on your climb, the sinner who endures the agony of a million knives. But I know you won’t allow it.”

Now there is nothing I could think about other than this scene. How Xie Lian broke down, trying very hard to grab and held him. How his vision going blurry as Hua Cheng also began to fade away.

In his heart, Xie Lian swore it once more: I believe.

Last time, they spent eight hundreds years running toward each other. This time, it only took an instant to fall into each other’s embrace.

And oh how this scene became the remedy of those awful moments we got. 

I love it so much! I love the ending, I love every character in the book. I don’t know what else I could say like I LOVE IT I LOVE IT.

Idk but I love seeing heavenly capital in chaos lol also the TWIST WAS CRAZY. I mean yeah I know that people hate him but idk I never thought about him being that thing. 

"This certainly is a cave of Ten Thousand Gods," Mu Qing said. "But there's only one god worshipped here!"

This volume feels like a filler to me and yup I will rate it slightly lower than the other one, but I'm not actually complaining since we got a lot of HuaLian moment lol

Xuan Ji cried. "If she's not your lover, why would she tell me to let you go?!"

"If my old ma was here, she'd tell you to let me go to! By your definition, would that make her my lover?" Pei Ming countered.

Also Pei Ming was so damn hilarious!! Idk that I will end up liking him lmao 

"He Xuan! The offense was mine—mine and the Reverend of Empty Words'! Qingxuan's sin doesn't merit a death sentence, you..."

"And who in my family sinned?" He Xuan countered. "Who is my family deserved death?"

So that was the infamous Black Water arc. My feeling about this arc is actually all over the place, Shi Qinxuan never ask for any of this but on the other side I understand Shi Wudu just want whatever the best for his brother, but again he deserve all of that. 

"San Lang, don't...don't just suddenly turn big!"

 I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. The whole coffin scene was just so unserious lol

“Even though your places and temples are burned down…don’t be sad. I will build you many more temples in the future—bigger, more magnificent, better than anyone else’s. No one will be able to compete with you. I’ll do it!”

“Your highness! Do you hear me?! In my heart, you are god! You are the only god, the one true god! Do you hear me?!”

Oh my little Hong Hong ;( It breaks my heart every single time.

While some people might find this boring, I do think flashbacks are essential for me to understand  why Hua Cheng did what he did. Next, I really want to know more about Feng Xin and Mu Qing as they were one of the people who was there by Xie Lian since the very first time. 

“You never know. I don’t care if anyone else is disappointed. But to some, the very existence of a certain person in this world is in itself hope.”

From the start to finish, I love everything!
