I listened to the Graphic Audio version because I wasn’t sure if how much I would like this series going in. I’m not sure if my rating would be as high if I actually read it as the writing/dialogue was pretty cringe throughout, but I also love trashy TV so it scratched an itch in that way. None of the characters were likable let alone love-able, not even the Vega twins; however, the world itself is interesting and I like how it incorporated a smorgasbord of fantasy creatures rather just Fae. I knew that bullying would be a central plot point but the events right before the end honestly made me feel sick. I will probably read the next one to see how they get their revenge. 🫣

Wow. Just wow. This book had me in its grips since the beginning. I guessed the first big twist but then they just kept going! My jaw dropped during that last chapter, this book has rendered me almost speechless. 6/5 ⭐️

This is my first romance book and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! I loved the banter between Gus and January and I always love a good “enemies” to lovers trope. I went in for a lighthearted read and was pleasantly surprised with the family secrets storyline and ultimately could not put this book down!
(EDIT)
I’m very stingy with my 5 stars so I did knock it down only *slightly* because there were quite a few times where the interactions between Gus and January just irked me like please god just say what’s on your mind instead of being moody about it
