I enjoyed this book. It was an obvious retelling of Beauty and the Beast but it was still so very original and I highly appreciated that. Also, the main character was a female who knew she didn't fit into the society where she was supposed to and she didn't really try to. She tried to hold onto who she was as a person which was what led her to the Beast and I enjoyed each chapter as it came. The sacrifice, love, trials, and brief magic made it truly wonderful.
