The Pact by Sharon Bolton

Great psychological thriller! So fast-paced, you could feel the characters stress. The vibes of this one reminded me of I know what you did last summer.
This one starts off with a terrible accident that results in the death of a mom and her 2 young children. All 6 friends were in the car, but does that mean everyone is to blame? Convinced they'd all get in trouble 1 friend steps up to take the blame, and everyone else owes a favor in return. Now it's time to pay back that favor, and the stakes are high! I crushed this one in just a few sittings and can't wait to read more by this author.
The moral of this story: find yourself a better friend group than this one!

A spicy lil novella. He's a criminal, she's his court appointed therapist.
I read this quickly in 1 sitting. It's an unethical, forbidden romance and I'm here for it. I don't know what it is about forbidden romance and enemies to lovers but they are my favorite. Add in a stalker in a mask 🔥
Check you triggers before jumping in.

I really enjoyed this one. It's a great story of a witch trying to find her way but has her memories stolen every time she uses her magic. She embarks on a magical quest and plane crash aside, how fun would that be! All she wants is to be accepted into the magical school and she gets way more than that. Between waking her soul mate from a tomb, finding a bad ass familiar and landing herself at a spell circle she is in way over her head. Potential love triangle and enemies to lovers in the works this book had a little of everything for me!

Predictable and boring.
It's a cute second chance romance but it's just meh...
Nothing really happens. There is a moment of miscommunication trope that pokes through, but overall, maybe this one was too short to be good. Also, I found that using the same male narrator that narrated the Grip series was distracting.
Skippable, but it's also free, so if you need something to listen to while waiting on your Audible credit to kick in, it's not terrible.

It's a love story between a signer and a songwriter. It's sweet and nieve at first as they grow into this huge band and have to face issues of jealousy, death, and addictions.
There is an element of mystery on the now timeline as Jane and Hen travel and try to get to the bottom of who is leaving Jane clues about Elijah. This was probably my favorite part of the book. I wish the drawings were included, it feels like a missed opportunity.
The then timeline tackles issues of friendship, young love, death and rock and roll lifestyle.
For fans of Daisy Jones & the six who are also looking for a bit of mystery.

I loved it! Lucas is the ultimate introvert and I'm here for it. I for one don't know my neighbors names either and will from now on refer to them as Purple dress and Green shirt.
I highlighted so many lines while reading. The problems brought forward are so silly and just make me laugh. Taking a little coma is the ultimate me time! I couldn't get enough of this one and it being under 70 pages made me sad.

I received my copy of this audiobook as part of the Love Books Tours in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the multiple POVs of this story. So many family secrets that you learn as the story unfolds. I personally didn't find any of the characters likable in this popcorn thriller but enjoyed the family drama aspects. This one is full of twists as you learn what each of them is hiding.
If you enjoy locked room mystery full of family drama and secrets this one might be for you.

I really enjoyed this one reading it in just a few sittings. I love a multiple POV and a locked room mystery, so this one was made for me.
The only thing I didn't care for was that when switching POVs to one of the friends, it also switched to a 3rd person narrative.
Up front, there will be characters you like more than others as the story unfolds you will begin to dislike everyone, lol. By the end, there was only 1 character I liked. Tons of Hitchcock tid bits and facts sprinkled in.

This one is spicy filth. Literally no other way to describe it. I wanted more spicy and less filth from the spicy scenes. It's a short and dirty quick read for Halloween.

I liked it, I find her writing style so easy to read.
Waking up from an accident to find you may or may not be a Werewolf would be complicated. This is what happens to our FMC Rory. She is a fun city party girl who is transformed in more ways than one while staying with her twins sister to help out in the months leading to the birth of her niece. Returning to the town she left behind brings up family drama and a reintroduction to the boy who was in love with her. Trying to deal with one of these would be alot but Rory is juggling all of it. I enjoyed Rory as a character I think there was just a bit missing for me with this one.
