This one was not for me.I listened to this one and I really wanted to like it but it just didn't work for me. The narrator was great and the last 20% of this book save the story. The first 80% was weird and read like a folk tale almost. The story was predictable and disappointing. The only exciting part was when Abitha became what everyone suspected she was all along and the story became one of revenge.

Let me start by saying 3 ⭐️ doesn't mean it was bad. I enjoyed this read mostly. I did find the foreshadowing to be obvious, and that was disappointing for me. I can't get into it without spoilers unfortunately so...

STOP HERE to remain spoiler free.
He handed her a drink that was already open... he could have just handed her a drink in a cup, the outcome the same but less obvious.
After the 3rd act breakup (🙄 my favorite trope), Dane just became this wuss for some reason and I didn't like it, the confession about watching her on camera sounded like it came from a completely different character to me.
Jude being twenty also felt unbelievable to me she treated him like he was fifteen.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, but those parts stuck out for me and kept me from rating it higher.

I am surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I finished in a day and a half.
The Romeo and Juliet vibes were strong with this unlikely romance between a Vampire and a Werewolf. The characters are likable. The story had more depth than expected for a paranormal romance. I was pleasantly surprised with a twist or two, some more predictable than others.

Although this one took me a minute to get into I found it to be fast paced. The back and forth time line added intrigue and mystery to this friend group who overall I didn't like.
This story is full of lies, betrayal, friendship and a twist or two that had me eating this one up.

Lu is the snarky and spunky vampire.I needed this Spooky season!

Vampire, werewolves, witches and Reapers oh my!

This one is the unlikely love story between Vampire and Reaper 💕 I love an Enemies to Lovers. It is a slow burn and totally worth it, I really enjoyed this story, it is full of dark humor and pop culture references making it extra fun for me.
Can't wait to until I get the next 2 delivered because this cliffhanger is killing me!

Omg the creep factor in this one! Perfect for spooky season. I couldn't get enough of it, what's real? What's not? Who do you believe!?! The ending had me screaming like wtf you can't end there but also it was perfect.
I absolutely can see this as a movie. It has the same vibes as Get Out. This is perfect as a stand alone but I also need so many questions answered that I'm dying for a sequel.

Highly recommend the audiobook! It was so well done I was captivated immediately.
Had the feel of a modern day Lord of the Flies. A hurricane hit and the amusement park implemented their emergency protocols. Although there is plenty of water and food, the young people are faced with no direction, supervision or overall feelings of authority. Chaos ensued and this is the stories of the survivors. Each chapter is another interview painting a vivid picture of what happened in the park during the hurricane and the aftermath.

I enjoyed this read. It was the pick for my October Read-A-Long, and it was the perfect mix of spooky and mystery for this month.
I went into it blind as I usually do and wish it had been more modern day time line, the 1920s of it is where it fell a bit short for me with some of the language but nonetheless I enjoyed this story.
Sarah is a badass. This is not what she signed up for! But at no point did she waiver, and she is the MVP of this story.

A retreat designed just for unalivers. The activities set up for them had me both grossed out and laughing. The idea of colored jumpsuits to represent crimes was brilliant. The bowling 🎳 the cooking class 👩‍🍳 I could get enough of this story, the spice was spicy and the banter was top notch. I read this one in 2 sittings and only because adulting got in the way. I can't wait to read the next one!
