Laces by Tempi Lark

It's really short. It's not that interesting. Feels like the story was just getting exciting and then boom, it's over. It definitely needed to be longer so we could understand more of what happened. Also, there are so many plot holes. There is no way a patient in a psych ward could have a lighter. I'm sorry you lost me there.
I don't understand how Gam wouldn't know that Joe was Laces dad? That makes no sense. He was your stepfather and you didn't know he had a son? Huh? I just don't get how Joe could have killed your sister and got away with it? Especially because there was so much evidence against you Gam. I think she just killed her sister and is crazy.
Not sure if I will read the next books.

I originally rated this book a 2⭐️ because there is basically no plot. It's basically just 5 people being violent and having sex. It's not a book you read to feel anything but horny. Even though this book is lacking in the actual story being interesting, I'm so fascinated by all these people and find myself weeks later, still thinking about this book. So I've decided to up my ranking because let's be honest I had a fucked up good time reading this hot garbage of a book lmao

4.5 - I read this fanfic earlier in the year. Took me a couple of months. I think when the author got to around season 7, it's a little rough to read, but otherwise, I really enjoyed it.

2.5 - I originally DNF this book but recently decided to just power through. It was not good at all. Honestly, 99% of this book, nothing new happened. It was a total waste of time. The new information could have been a chapter long. Don't recommend reading it. Just read a summary and move on.

I hate this book. Nothing makes me more violently rageful than thinking about this book. Ben is the worst. I don't wanna spoil the ending, but I would rather set the rest of me on fire than forgive him for what he did. I don't care if he was 16...he knew and said nothing. The lies. The deceit. Unforgivable. Disgusting. Trash. I wish I could give this book zero stars. I will never recommend anyone assault their eyes by reading this book.

This book was very slow for me, but I did enjoy the overall story. I think the ending was predictable. The characters were interesting and entertaining. Just overall, it's very mid. Would probably not recommend it. The movie is vastly different from the book, which shocked me. I actually liked the movie better.

I read this book at the beginning of the year but did not have a Goodreads account yet. So here is a late add to my account.
I liked the book overall and have lent out the book for others I know to read. It reads kind of like a fanfic for me. The chapters and mid chapter sections end really abruptly randomly. It kind of annoys me.
I've read the second book, and honestly, it's criminal that I had to read so much about Tamlin in this book. I never liked him and thought him not helping Feyre against Amarantha was fucking rude as hell. Like, cmon dude, get up and fight for your woman, you rat man. At least Rhys healed her...what were you doing, Tammy? Washing Am's feet, you loser? Ughhh
I would probably rate it more accurately a 4.25, but I can't do that on here.

I read this entire series when it first came out, and even though it gets a lot of hate... I liked it. Don't be mad at me. Let's be honest here... Christian is a psycho and if he was a real-life man and I was in Anastasia's position, then I would run

The second book in this series is a little more action-packed than the first one. Introducing Elena, the literal pedophile who seduced Christian as a child and basically introduced him to his sex life, was insane. I'm glad Ana called her out on her shit and helped spread the truth to Christian's mom, so she knew her friend was bad news.
Also fuck Jack. He knows what he did.
Leila, girl, I hope you're getting help and thriving queen. I mean, you scared me, but I wish you luck.
Ana and Christian getting engaged was cute.
I would technically rate this a 4.5

Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James

I would technically rate this a 3.5, but I'll be nice and round up.
Ana, for some reason, really annoyed me this book. For example, I don't like that she would blatantly ignore Christians warnings about being safe and put herself in literal life and death situations other than to cause drama for the reader.
Christian's reaction to Ana's pregnancy was ruuuuude af. Bad Christian. Very bad. Made me kind of hate him. Him meeting up with Elena, too, after finding out..oooohhhh, I'd be livid.
Lastly, the whole Hyde being Mr. Hacker/kidnapper and whatever plot needed drama super villian was so boring. I'm sorry, none of that made sense. Why would a man who reads books do all that? It was dumb. Just write a different character and stop being lazy.
Overall, the story was not boring but annoying. I ended up pretty much ready to end this series when I got to the end and left unfulfilled. I would have enjoyed Ana leaving Christian at the end and making better choices better. But no. I get married with 2 kids. Gahhhhh dumb.
