Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

I have absolutely no words for this book. My jaw was on the floor most of the time and that ending was everything to me. I love how the author leaves things up to you to figure out. And the writing was so freaking beautiful. I’m not a Shakespeare expert or anything and it was not a problem for me in the book, but if you want to enter this book a little bit more prepared read: Romeo and Juliet, hamlet, king Lear, Caesar and Pericles, I think those are the most relevant to the story. I loved these characters and the story, they will live in my heart forever.

I have problems with some of the scientific storyline and some of the theories about traveling dimensions and stuff like that obviously, no scientist or a physicist or know anything about this shit but I don’t know. Somethings don’t make sense but overall it’s still a great story I really love it. The characters really speak to me. I love how the main character is not like Dumb girl involved in a love triangle and I love that she has the actual personality, so yeah it’s still white so I can’t give it a very high rating, but still very good
Second time reading this and I just felt it way more. I enjoyed the long descriptions about things that seemed trivial at first but told so much about our characters and the story. Found myself resonating and understanding a lot of the growth and setbacks this characters had. The ending had me in tears but I think it was because of how personal it felt. I really liked this but if you hate miss communication this is not for you.
This is a 3.5 for me. It’s not bad but it’s not what I expected. This book is not a murder mystery, it’s more of the relationships created before and after the death of someone. I loved the title and how the metaphor was represented in the book. I really liked and enjoyed the dynamic of the relationship and the dual pov was very helpful to understand both characters as unreliable and weird. Unfortunately I felt nothing in the boom made sense. The plot twists and big reveals are very weird and I was often questioning myself the point of the revelations. This book has an open ending so I didn’t find the ending as satisfying as I think it should’ve been but again I don’t think this book is about the murder but the relationship dynamic between our two main characters.
