3.5

This is a 3.5 for me. It’s not bad but it’s not what I expected. This book is not a murder mystery, it’s more of the relationships created before and after the death of someone. I loved the title and how the metaphor was represented in the book. I really liked and enjoyed the dynamic of the relationship and the dual pov was very helpful to understand both characters as unreliable and weird. Unfortunately I felt nothing in the boom made sense. The plot twists and big reveals are very weird and I was often questioning myself the point of the revelations. This book has an open ending so I didn’t find the ending as satisfying as I think it should’ve been but again I don’t think this book is about the murder but the relationship dynamic between our two main characters.
