I am devastated at this ending. The cushy fun fluffy character development phase is over and it is now time to have the hearts ripped out with no promise of the pieces coming back together.

Slow burn. But riveting. I love the character development of Seth, Caleb, Max, Geraldine, and Xavier. I am so thankful that Tory is having a comeback! She is honoring who she is but also accepting a new version of herself as she finally accepts Darius. Seeing the more vulnerable sides of Lance and Darcy is a good development as well. It’s enjoyable to see that Lionel cannot be easily defeated and that there is no promise that he will be.

This ending is more gentle than the others which I am thankful for.

A very very very long book. But I’m very impressed with how they continue to develop the plot and characters. 7 is still my favorite but this is a goody

Kindle, KU. Very sweet, gentle, elementary book and then BAM halfway through everything changes. Which is exactly what the characters go through. Very cool.

Kindle, KU & Alexa Audio. This book had me smiling - very sweet. Pacey is the best. Quinn does a great job of making the reader’s emotions parallel the pace of the story
