Honestly a very strong 3.75! But for the life of me I cannot round up to a 4 due to the incredibly cringy (for me) pet names.
cute romance, Christmas friends to loves, forced proximity book. Definitely smiled while reading this and enjoyed the main characters, but not a top fave.
Still recommend to pass time with a smile.

Pub day 6/25/24 - thank you Net Galley and the powers that be for this ARC.
3ish stars! I'm not married to the rating. I am definitely not giving a 2 because I really appreciate the premise of the book AND I think there are some great quotes in here. But I am definitely not giving a 4 or 5 because there were some serious things lacking here. I would love to read a different and better version of this book one day.
I appreciate the draft that inspired this book. I appreciate the quotes that made me pause and relish. I appreciate the pining and falling in love with your spouse all over again. Also, I appreciate Tobin's physical description.
There are a few more things I will not write on here for spoilers but... I am new to ARCS and Netgalley so I honestly assumed that all of the grammatical errors that I saw were normal for ARCs. I feel like this book would benefit from a new set of eyes to really weed out plot points.

KOA but make it urban - long, thick, slow-medium pace until the last 100 pages. Wanted to DNF due to emotional turmoil but un-DNFed.
I really liked this book even though it took half of my lifetime to read. I really enjoy how this book differs than the beginnings of her other two series in the sense that this one is so long so she can pace it differently. This one hits differently than the other ones. Can’t really explain why - just a vibe.
There is ofc more to say but none of it really unique. I did know a lot of spoilers going into this one but a few things did wreck me AKA all of the deaths.
————————
“That's the point of it, Bryce. Of life. To live, to love, knowing that it might all vanish tomorrow. It makes everything that much more precious.”
RIP LITTLE ONE - “Then let the world know that my first act of freedom was to help my friends.”
RIP LITTLE ONE - “I am a descendant of Ranthia Drahl, Queen of Embers. She is with me now and I am not afraid. My friends are behind me, and I will protect them.” /// Caelena vibes
“You're the person I don't need to explain myself to - not when it matters. You see everything I am, and you don't run away from it.”
Ok when I understood the obsession with Hunt - “I’ve got you," he murmured. "Sweetheart, I've got you.”

Christmas on the Fjord by Elle Thrasher

This is a perfect example of what a novella can and should be.
- Bridges an overarching plot with plot
- Nothing too deep because its a novelLA
- Makes you fall in love with the characters and story all the more
- Someone who has a literary analysis degree can probably say more but PERFECTION
Elle, I absolutely loved this novella and being with your characters again. Lennie is chaos, Espen is a golden retriever, and Øyvin is my mans (I did notice his sweater color, does that mean he is your favorite too?) And yes, I am patiently waiting for Halvar. Norway is starting to feel like home for me just like it is for Lennie. Reading this story felt like walking through the streets along the beautiful fjord right there with her; what a gift! To you, I am so thankful! You are incredible. To know you is to love you and I am so thankful to know you. I love love love this series and am so excited for more.
