Compared to the other books this was my least favorite so far. However, I’m not a big fan of childhood friends to lovers so it’s probably a me thing.

I have a love-hate relationship with  alternating timelines however I don’t know how I feel about the timeline in this because none of it felt distinct from the present or the past like nothing in their life has changed from the past events. Usually in pay and present timelines there is something that we don’t know that happened in the past that we find out as the timelines get closer together which did happen but it didn’t work because what happened was lackluster because I felt like I already knew. It didn’t take away from the plot or the book at all but I just found it unnecessary.

Amazing. If you liked Broken Bonds you’ll like this as well. It as the same energy without being too similar and boring. It’s definitely a new story that’s just as interesting and twisty. The mystery and betrayal aspect is there.

This series doesn’t work as well as the bonds that tie series. I’m not as invested. I don’t care about anybody really. I don’t know if I’ll finish it honestly. The plot is happening but it still feels so lack luster even though it’s action packed.
