“but one of the marvelous things about being ronan lynch was that no one ever expected him to do anything nice for anyone.”

i don’t remember the last time i loved the dynamics between characters AND their individual traits this much in a book, especially since this is a series and those are usually a miss for me. they’re all fleshed out well, and i don’t like everyone, but they are so complex and well-written, they truly feel like actual people and not just a bunch of traits that don’t make sense slapped into a half-compelling story.

i love this series so much i kind of need to throw myself down the stairs

i didn't start this series thinking it would become my favorite, but it did, and now that i'm done with it, i don't really know what to do with myself.

i don't know. i think a book marketed as a romance should actually be romantic. that's where my biggest problem lies. the chemistry is nonexistent; they just find each other attractive, and that's really it. i have no idea why they fell for each other. i guess it's enough to put a woman and a man with no chemistry together and call it love for the ages.

also, jessica is so fucking annoying. the two people that know the ceo well are like, dont trust him. dont take anything from him. and she's like BUT MAYBE HE'S A GOOD MAN MAYBE YOU'RE WRONG MAYBE I KNOW HIM BETTER FROM ONE PSEUDO CONVERSATION WE HAD!!!!!

info dumping through dialogue is yet another pet peeve. the writing in general was just bad and read worse than some of the fanfics i've read on wattpad of all places.

there's also the fact that the book tries to touch on a few sensitive topics like misogyny, but does it in a way that's shallow and brings nothing to the story nor is followed-up in any way.

i was actually looking forward for this book to be released, but it was a disappointment
