it's hard to review the entire book since it's a collection of short stories, but the entire read was so insane i'm a changed person--i grew more insane with each page i finished.

★ favorites: berenice, morella, ligeia, the fall of the house of usher, the premature burial, hop-frog, the oval portrait, the masque of the red death

audrey one second: thomas is a piece of trash that coddles me because he thinks that as a man he's superior to me and has to take care of me
her the other second: i have to apologize to thomas for my temper

gut-wrenching

very much a comfort read. felt like a hug.

i found it way more funny than i probably should have

i was skeptical to start it, but now i regret i didn't read it sooner. got me hooked and interested in every page. even the multitude of characters each had something interesting about them that i loved. amazing!!!
