I was having a hard time connecting with the book, and after a main plot point was relatively triggering I decided to put it down for now.

This book was dense and incredibly articulate. Formatted like a textbook, but every line has the potential to be ruminated on for days on end. Chock full of facts, statistics and a nuanced approach to history and intersectionality within the ace identities, this book sets the bar for queer lit.

This book is mysterious and heavy and emotional. it's meant to be read and savored and mulled over, but i didn't have the emotional energy to engage with it. Will most definitely be back when I am.

This book is very good! But I rented it from the library, and felt like I wanted to take notes-permanently own it, and that held me back from finishing it. I need it on my shelf as a resource!
