Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
I loved it but I also think that Gus and Teddy are my 3rd favorite story in the series. Regardless I am excited for book 4 and to be back in Meadowlark for awhile again soon.
Nothing Serious: A Novel by Emily J Smith
I went into this one based on cover alone and I’m so glad I did.
Edie is struggling but she doesn’t know it yet. She holds her best friend Peter on a pedestal, barely listens to Alex who could help her more than she realizes, and worries about her mom and her work in the tech industry constantly.
And then she meets Anaya on Peter’s first date with her and Edie’s whole world begins to change. Her obsession with Peter soon shifts to Anaya after she is found dead in her apartment weeks after that first date with Peter.
Nothing Serious is a story about obsession, about putting our faith in the wrong people, and about learning to trust and listen to ourselves and the people in our lives who we subconsciously keep at arm’s length

The Last One at the Wedding by Jason Rekulak
You know what? I actually liked this and I didn’t predict it. Well played, Rekulak. I think would’ve been a better debut than Hidden Pictures but kept on the hook to read their next release!
Snake Oil by Kelsey Rae Dimberg

Wasn’t pulling me in, felt like a chore to pick up and decided that ultimately I don’t really care what happens in the end ✌🏼
Men Have Called Her Crazy by Anna Marie Tendler
So thankful to no longer be the version of Courtney who would really resonate with this one. Beautifully written, self aware, and vulnerable.
Someone in the Attic by Andrea Mara
This was a very fast read with short chapters that leave you hanging and keep you turning the pages. Overall it was just okay for after a months long wait on the hold list.
Rejection by Tony Tulathimutte

You know what? 67% felt like mooooore than enough!
The Empress of Cooke County by Elizabeth Bass Parman
Okay this was fun and took a quite unexpected dark turn! I enjoyed it on audio!
A Reason to See You Again by Jami Attenberg
Really felt meh about this one. It started off strong, I love a multi generational family drama, but I got tired of spending time with all of the characters by the end. Maybe they were a little too well written and flawed.
