I just love a Genevieve Novak messy character glow up. Probably because I was one of these characters not all too long ago. Please write more asap, Gen 🫶🏼

I think I would have liked this more if I hadn’t already consumed so much modern media that this was modeled after. It was a decent and quick scary listen though!

This former rock bottom girl will always have space in her heart for the rock bottom heroine of a novel like Crushing <3

As much as I absolutely despise thinking about the death of any single person or pet that I love I really enjoyed this. It did start to feel a bit long towards the 70% mark but still overall found it to be quite beautiful.

I don’t know how to categorize this but I really thoroughly loved it. To me it’s a collection of short stories of the horrors women face in the current world. The writing was interesting and thought provoking and the storytelling kept me coming back for more but also wanting to drag it out to savor it, and I did just that.

This was totally fine but I’m a little annoyed about one detail of the story - basically that doctor/patient privilege is honored unless the patient means to harm themself or others and I would assume this would also apply if the patient confesses to a murder.

Wowowowowow. Literally just blew my mind and my childhood wide open a little bit. Everyone who read Go Ask Alice or any of the other anonymous diaries OR A Million Little Pieces by James Frey (not mentioned in this book but came to my mind during my listen) absolutely NEEDS to read this. Especially timely when we have currently presidential candidates fabricating harmful stories for political gain!!!

I don’t know how to describe this one. Very dark subject matter, very well written, felt like work to get through it. Tackles domestic violence in a really unique and oftentimes infuriating way that I think could be really helpful for a lot of people who are stuck in something they don’t know how to escape.
