It’s a cute ending to the trilogy. Nothing complex or emotionally deep about the plot. I only read it to complete the series. The structure of the plot is fairly similar to the first two books, nothing surprising.
If you like the hunger games, maze runner (I actually never finished reading or watching either so I’m only referring to the general concept) etc. you will probably enjoy like book better then the first one. This is easily the better book of the series. Definitely a page turner. I general I dislike Min she’s a weak damsel in distress who couldn’t lead a cat out of a paper bag, but was chosen for leadership because of her blind empathy Ngl I love Sarah so what if she tried to kill everyone to end the simulation sooner? She played the game how it was supposed to be played Quite a few unexpected plot twists eg. Suit guy being her dad who put her in the simulation to ‘save her’ Noah is also such a typical guy that’s all I have to say
The conflict is so manufactured. Really basic vapid, mind numbing YA, which is kind of relaxing. The plot is kinda mid. Love the representation tho. This story could’ve been like five chapters shorter if they just communicated with each other. Also Nadim wasn’t in the wrong, he had no obligation to tell Reena about his previous arranged engagement
It’s a good read. It’s difficult to describe this book without spoiling it. But I will definitely be reading the sequel .The character are somewhat likeable. However, the romance leaves a lot to be desired. There is basically no chemistry. Person A loves Person B because they just do. Personally, I read it for the dystopia. God knows how this is a six (technically eight) book series. I’m going to read the next book but I can’t imagine finishing the series.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
5.0
Genuinely the best book I’ve ever read The complexity of the characters, the emotional turmoil, This is definitely a mature book, with mature topics. It’s the little things like the changes in dialect, that really put the icing on the cake. Very much race/racism/misogyny centred. If anyone said this book was bad I was accuse them on being racist, jk.
I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it.
Set in the early 1900s in the south of America. A masterpiece.
“The last thing niggers want to think about they God is that his hair kinky. That’s the truth, I say.”
The only flaw with this book is that it is too good the book ends with a happy ending bow, which is probably unrealistic to the time period
Very emotionally involved definitely not a romance Definitely one of the better books I’ve read this year. Very much a change of pace in the romance genre. Amazing in some ways, not great in others I cried.
It’s a very interesting perspective. The cycle…wow The main thing I don’t like about this book is how it tries to make you feel sympathy for Ryle, despite how he is literally an abuser. And regardless we don’t really see anything in-depth about his trauma, even if we hypothetically wanted to sympathise with him. Co-parenting with an abuser is fundamentally a bad idea
