Genuinely the best book I’ve ever read
The complexity of the characters, the emotional turmoil, This is definitely a mature book, with mature topics. It’s the little things like the changes in dialect, that really put the icing on the cake. Very much race/racism/misogyny centred.
If anyone said this book was bad I was accuse them on being racist, jk.
I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it.
Set  in the early 1900s in the south of America. A masterpiece.
“The last thing niggers want to think about they God is that his hair kinky. That’s the truth, I say.”
The only flaw with this book is that it is too good
the book ends with a happy ending bow, which is probably unrealistic to the time period
