I loved everything written by C.J. Cooke and an email from Harper Collins with an early copy of “The Ghost Woods” made me really happy!

The creepy, gothic, mysterious atmosphere is real!!! When I was reading the book in the night (alone in the house, not the smartest idea I’ve had), I found myself hiding my feet under the covers as my subconscious mind was scared of the witch! Sounds ridiculous but that’s what happened!

Interestingly the topic of pregnancy and children is as far from my interests as it could be, yet despite of it being the main theme, I absolutely loved the book! It only shows how brilliant the world created, the writing and story causing real fear are!

Truly engaging, scary and so well-plotted! It’s simply a must-read for everyone who likes something darker to read.

As a huge fan of Eddie Flynn series I want to thank the publisher for giving me access to read The Accomplice early! As every previous book, this was also really clever, engaging and funny!

I love Steve's writing and I couldn't miss another meeting with my favourite lawyer! Although the author broke not just Eddie's heart but also mine in the previous book...

Imagine what would happen if your husband was a serial killer? The Accomplice takes us to Carrie Miller's trial, a woman who's been accused of being her husband's accomplice in series of murders. She swears her innocence, yet she's going to face the jury. In the last moments before the trial, her lawyer became a prosecution's witness and he can't defend her anymore. Luckily Eddie and his team agree to help her.

The book is full of plot twists, smart solutions and it's really well written!

I enjoy reading the cross examination done by Eddie's team - it's always so brilliant and often funny too!

Definitely a must-read!

City on Fire is not a usual genre of books I'd read, but I know that Don Winslow is a fantastic author and that I'm going to enjoy this!

Danny just wants a normal life, it's not his fault that he's been born in and drawn to a gang. Even when he moves out for a while, he'll come back to the love of his life.
The pack of friends are always together and cover each other backs. They have a rival gang (as expected) but they're not in bad relationship... until a stunning woman starts dating one of the rivals, and shortly, it'll start a war.

It's violent, emotional, and at some point it made me cry.

The writing is excellent and the story flows. I'll definitely want to read the next part!

The Box is the first book by Dan which I read, and I definitely want to catch-up on The Regret and Smiling Exercises!

The book flows, the writing is really good. The story is quite terrifying as I believe it could be happening somewhere in the world. I wouldn't be surprised at all, maybe even in America where all different kind of extremes happen (and are tolerated for whatever reason, often encouraged by the right-wing politicians).

Ed Truman is a lawyer, he wanted to help his daughter Ally who was targeted by the alt-right incel organisation Men Together. After his actions to take down the website which shared Ally's personal information, bad things starts happening. His daughter disappears on a supposed weekend away with friends, he's been accused of a sexual assault and potentially a murder! He's on a run with the only person who might know something... Phoenix - Ally's friend.

This fast-paced thriller is full of action, and a warning. I believe we need to be more conscious about the alt-right organisations brainwashing people and gaining more and more power. The clock is ticking, Ally is still missing, and the police is on Ed's trail...

I loved the different timelines of the book, the structure. It was a great read, chapters are written from the different people's perspectives and there's an underlying story of a detective which I found really interesting.

I'm not sure how I feel about the ending of the story, nevertheless I loved the book!

PS. What a brilliant cover!
