Having read almost all Ragnar’s books (I’m one book behind), I knew I’ll enjoy the Outside.
The author knows how to create the chilling, atmospheric and claustrophobic setting. I love Iceland in the winter and I’m going back there this November. I’m sure that the book will come to mind when walking in the snowy middle of nowhere.
The story is interesting, four friends meet for a shooting trip, get stuck in a hut with a stranger who’s acting weird. Lots of secrets are revealed and their relationship is definitely not what it seems at first…
Enjoyable and entertaining, I can definitely recommend it!

Highly disturbing, tense and engaging story!
I found myself taking breaks while reading because it was really intense! Loved it.
I don’t think I’ve read a book from a perspective of the daughter of a serial killer before… it definitely made it super intriguing.
Sophie doesn’t know her father, she’s been living with her mum and grandparents in the US until one day her mother decides to move to the UK. The change wasn’t easy but their lives started to get better when Matty started a relationship with her mum. He became a father she never had. And all was well… until he’s been arrested for being a serial killer.
20 years later Sophie is still struggling, until this day she’s unsure if Matty is guilty because he’s been screaming his innocence from day 1.
The story takes us through years of suspense, deceive and lies. Happiness and doubt. The trial and the aftermath.
I’ve read all Victoria’s books and this one is the best one so far!

I love DI Charley Mann series! She’s a smart, independent, strong woman. She has a brilliant career and lives her life as she decides. Definitely one of my favourite characters.
Weddings should be happy events which doesn’t seem possible when a double murder is committed on the day. The case from an obvious one with the shooter caught immediately becomes pretty complex. Lots of twists, new leads to follow and people to catch.
Great police procedural, as always top notch writing. I love seeing names of people I know (including my own!) which gives me additional joy when reading.
Definitely series that can’t be missed!

If you like crime and sci-fi this is a mandatory purchase!
I loved Five Minds by Guy Morpuss and the moment I saw Black Lake Manor I knew I *must* read it. His writing and stories are extraordinary.
A locked room mystery, AI and time manipulation. I don’t know if you could make a better combination of themes for me.
The plot is great, the crime intriguing, the murder weapon really smart and the investigation definitely unique. I loved the backstories including one from the hundreds years ago.
It’s a brilliant mix of an old and a highly advanced worlds.
Plus I’ve learnt something about octopuses!
I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next!

If Antti is a King of Dark Comedy, David is the King of Translation.
As always the cover is fantastic! One of the best ones I’ve seen this year!
The Moose Paradox, second in the Rabbit Factor Trilogy brings us back to the adventure park run by Henri, the insurance mathematician.
A man from the past shows up and turns everything upside down.
Henri’s life is run by math. The equations make him calm and the logic helps in making decisions. Even his attempts to be romantic are funny because he clearly can’t do it!
The adventure park faces new problems - the management, new owners of the machine supplier and difficulty in purchasing the Moose Chute (the best attraction ever)!
As expected Henri almost gets killed, gets close to dangerous people and needs to find a way out.
Funny, brilliant and enjoyable. I can’t wait to see what comes next! It’s definitely a must-read from one of my favourite authors!

If you want to read something weird and creepy, C.J. Tudor is a great choice.
As a huge fan of the author, I was thrilled to see there’s a new book coming!
The short stories collection is definitely something different and I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly!
I love the intros to each story where the authors talks about coming up with the idea and gives a bit of context to each piece.
I definitely can see how they could be transformed into Netflix tv series (kind of like my favourite show Black Mirror) and I’d love to see them on the screen!
Strong 5 stars as always!
