This has the perfect vibes for a spooky season read. The love story is very sweet without taking away from the heroine’s own growth. I love the sisterly bond as well as the relationships between women. The use of herbs to go in and out of the spirit world is also an excellent touch. Highly recommend reading this book.

The sex scenes are pretty graphic for a YA novel and honestly a little uncomfortable, however you can skip I’ve them as they are short.

I read The Scarlet Letter in 11th grade and I hate Nathaniel Hawthorne. I think his self-pitying nature came through too much for me. This is the book I would’ve liked to read instead. The story of a powerful woman who surpasses adversary. The story of the importance of women’s friendships. I highly recommend this book.

This book is super interesting. I was pulled into the story and wondering desperately what was happening. I plowed through the last half of it because I was so eager to see how things ended up. I love the sapphic representation and diabetes representation. If you’re looking for a spooky read, try this one.

This is one of the worst plays I’ve ever read. It is essentially purely antisemitism and nothing else. Compared to Shakespeare’s other works it’s very disappointing.
