Every person who gives this book 5 stars is lying btw
Can’t believe how good the two first were book and how unbearable the third one was. Why making it that long??? It had no sense.
After chapter 30 things get better.I loved everything about Sera and Nyktos being free, then Sera ascending… but why they just fucked once she ascended? Why we couldn’t read about the reunion between Sera and Nektas, Aios, Bele, Jadis… I really don’t understand anything about the writing decisions tbh

This was a waste of time and money for me. Could’ve been summed up in a (very) short novella.
None of the content seemed original and there was barely any plot development. The dialogue was even more immature and awkward than previous books. I actually started to dislike Sera as a character thanks to her repetitive stream of consciousness.
I’m wondering why this was even published tbh. I think it did more harm than good for the series.

Oh my heart...this book was heart breaking.
I’m such a sucker for this type of thing, when books makes you ugly cry, I love it!
And this did just that.
This is one of the darkest books in both From Blood and Ash and Flesh and Fire series in my opinion.
This beginnings were the last book left off. And what a start, it had me in a chokehold.
It was hard to read about Sera in that "position". How I felt for Sera in this book. A womans worst nightmare.
I was on edge through the whole book, never knowing what Kolis would do.
Even tho this book had a lot of focus on giving information, I never found it dull. And for me it's thanks to the more emotionall hold it had over me.
I did miss all the side characters in this book tho. But we did get to know Attes, Callum and Veses a bit more, so that was fun.
Feels kind of sad that I only have one more book with Ash and Sera, but it will be nice to only have one series to focus on after that.
Something that would make both of these series so much better, dual/multiple POV. Think I would make it so much more enjoyable, and nice so be in someone elses head insted of just Sera/Poppy and drivning us readers a bit insane 🤪
I totaly get why people are disappointed in this book. It could, and should have been edited down, a lot. Like all the books in these two series. The constant repetitiveness and recycleing of the same stuff is irretating and takes you out of the moment when you're reading. But lucky for me, I'm vibing on and my mind happiely skips past those annoying parts 🤪

Life was worth living even when it was full of unfairness and injustice. When the heart felt light and when the chest was too tight to breathe.
Because death was final.
The absence of choice.
And life was a collection of new beginnings.
Full of unending choices.
This line broke me 😭
But if the shoe fits, lace that bitch up and wear it.
Funniest line 🤣
It was "fun" to see more of the Cereen, and learn a bit about them. Very sad tho that so many had to give up their lives for Sera.
Oh I freaking love these little conections and explanations we get in this series!
The thing with "my pretty poppy".
Rhain, thank god she was able to talk him out of it. The last book really got me liking him.
I liked the whole thing with Attes, his betrayal that turned out to not be that 👌
F*ck! When she killed the god in the Court room, who she thought was hurting that woman. I felt so bad for her.
Kolis is such a smart villian. Knows exactly how to phrase something without lying. Oh how I hate him!

This one was my least favorite in this series. It felt quite dragged out and repetitive... My investment in these characters is what kept me going and obviously the romance, which even that felt repetitive at times. Glad it ended nice enough so I don't have to torture myself until August.

So Cute yet anxiety inducing
I love Sera and Ash’s dynamic. It was hard knowing vaguely knowing how things would end and trying to reconcile the story progression with it but also not trying to think about it. It was kind of obvious how things would end but the journey was enjoyable.
