I liked this one better than most, which was REALLY surprising after I realized one of the main characters was a minister. I've been soured to religion and was expecting to hate this book, but it wasn't the case. In fact, if there was a church with Noah as the minister, I might actually consider going. And I adored Ellie. Strong, hardworking, eternally optimistic no matter what was thrown at her, yet realistic about people and their perceptions. She's was a joy to meet.
The Paul and Vanni storyline was hard and sad, but it was a good addition to the book.

I really love this installment! The story of Noah, the unconventional pastor who buys a church on EBay and Ellie, a down to earth young mother trying to get a respectable job for the courts is delightful. A fun read where you want them to succeed through it all. There are a couple of continuing story lines with new happenings that just enhance the main love story.

I'm trying to get through this series. I loved Ellie. She reminded myself of me. My favorite part about her was her positive attitude. Every once in a while she'd let someone see that she was afraid. I believe it was her authenticity that sparked Noah's interest in her.

Noah is the new priest in Virgin River having graduated from seminary and bought the run down church in our favourite town. Ellie, a single mother, desperate to regain her kids in a nasty custody battle, finds a home and job in the new church....and as it's Virgin River!
With Vannie and Paul having family troubles of their own and Shelby's wedding to Luke drawing closer the community comes together to help and support each other as only they know how.

I had a hard time connecting with parts of this one. I loved Noah and man that guy knew how to talk to a woman....
Ellie was fine and I enjoyed her role in Paul/Vanni's struggle. I'm hoping for more from the next books.

Maybe the best of the Virgin River books that I've read in a while!
