4 super cute and funny stars!

“It was a look I felt everywhere–the kind of look where you just knew not an inch of your body had gone unnoticed.”

Frenemies is the latest romantic comedy from Emma Hart that will have you in stitches laughing one moment, and swooning in the next. Emma Hart really steps it up with this second chance, enemies to lovers story.

Frenemies follows the story of Imogen and Mason. Imogen is pretty happy with the life she leads. She’s a starving artist who runs her families art studio and puts up with her meddlesome grandmother. Grandma Jen is determined to find a suitor for Imogen before she dies, and unfortunately for Imogen, she’s got her sights set on their new neighbor. However, their neighbor is anything but a stranger. Imogen knows him up close and personal. He’s the guy who never called and took her heart when he left. But, no matter how hard Imogen tries to stay away from Mason, fate keeps throwing these two back together. Will Mason be able to convince Imogen that he made a mistake and win her back?? There’s only one way to find out….

Frenemies is a laugh out loud good time. This book sucked me in from the very first page and kept me begging for more. I loved Imogen and her family. Her grandma Jen and friends were hilarious. I loved how nosey and meddlesome they were. Grandma Jen really took her antics seriously and wouldn’t let anything stop her from being matchmaker!

And then we’ve got Mason….Yeah, Mason messed up big time. Him & Imogen were only supposed to be a booty call all those years ago, but somehow along the way, feelings got involved. And when Mason left town, he took Imogen’s heart with him. And now that fate has connected these two again, Mason isn’t about to let Imogen slip away. Mason not only had a heart of gold, but was a terrific dad. I loved how real and honest his relationship was with his ex. I liked that they were able to still remain friends and co-parent without all of the drama. I knew that Mason would be a terrific match for Imogen, if only should forget the past. And last but not least, we’ve got Imogen. She’s a starving artist who caters to her grandma & her crazy friends. She’s got a good heart and a snarky attitude. I loved her smart wit and the banter she had with Mason. The tension between them was delicious and I couldn’t wait to see how their story would end.

Overall, Frenemies is a terrific read to spend your day getting lost in. You’ll laugh. You’ll swoon. You’ll find yourself shaking your head. This book was such a good time, I never wanted it to end. And the best part, there was absolutely no drama!!

If you’re looking for a fun and entertaining romantic comedy, look no further. Frenemies is the romance that you’ve been waiting for!

5 Rom-com stars❤

I was hooked on this book, completing it in 1 seating.

Imogen & Mason's story was long time coming, starting 6 years ago.
They were fuck buddies in college, both having secret feelings for each other.

They never told, & even though he promised, he didn't call after graduation (she was really pissed at that^_^).
So you can guess him becoming her new neighbor after all these years will stir up a lot of forgotten feelings

The writing in this wasn't good and the main character was annoying because she kept going in circles about the same thing and then she suddenly changed her mind at the end. I think this had lots of potential, but it needed to be longer and better written.

super fun super short book
- I mean it when I say this is v short
- v easy to read
- fun second chance romance
- both main characters were v fun and enjoyable to read from
- maya was adorable
- grandman jen was of course a highlight
- As was her book club
- I really liked masons relationship with fran- often the ex is portrayed as jealous/cruel/all round bad person but her and mason got on really well and it was a nice change to see
- wish we got flashbacks to when they knew each other in college/ their relationship back then

Immy had a casual relationship with Mason while they were in college. Once they graduated they never spoke to each other again.

This is until Mason moves in to the house next door. Fate had made possible to have another chance, if only they stop pranking each other.

This book is a very fun, quick read.

It is a combination of second chance, single dad and neighbors trope.

What a fun, lovable book. It was everything I needed at the moment and everything I hoped for. The characters were well written, the storyline fun, hot and cute all at the same time and I just couldn't put it down! Hands down for Emma Hart for writing just another amazing book, with again one of my favorite tropes!
Definitely recommend it!

4/5 stars.

When Emma Hart began concentrating solely on romantic comedies, she knew exactly what she was doing. Drawing from an seemingly endless well of creativity, she manages to offer up funny romantic stories again and again, and they just continue to get better. FRENEMIES, Emma's latest offering, is a delight from start to finish. I instantly adored Imogen and Mason and their second-chance love.

Immy may still be harboring the hurt that came with Mason having ghosted her after college, but that hasn't kept her from living a life that she loves. Sure, her Grandma Jen constantly needs watching, and she hasn't had a date in a while, but Immy wouldn't change a thing (well, maybe a little less of the extra with Grandma Jen...). When Mason and Maya, his little girl, move in next door, though, her calm life goes a little bit topsy-turvy.

Yes, Mason knows that he did Immy wrong all those years ago. But being in her space is stirring up all the memories of what they had, and helping him to realize that some wisdom and self-awareness has come with maturity, and he's not about to let Immy get away again. Convincing her that they deserve a second chance might be tough, but it's a feat that he's more than willing to take on.

Emma has a gift for writing feisty strong women, sexy yet accessible men, and little kids that will steal your heart. The added bonus of a no-holds-barred grandmother and her coterie of trouble-making friends make FRENEMIES a serious keeper. If this book isn't on your rom-com loving TBR, then it needs to be, and quickly, because NUMBER NEIGHBOR, the next standalone in this world, is just around the corner... ❤️

Immy and Mason were hilarious!!!! Throw in her nosy grandmother?!?! Priceless!!! Immy and Mason has a complicated relationship in college. They never kept in contact after ending whatever it is they had. Six years later they are neighbors and boy is it funny. She can’t let go the fact that he’s never called her and he wonders if he made a mistake letting her go. It’s funny with all the secondary characters involved giving their two cents on their complicated relationship. It’s such a fun read with no drama and a nosy grandmother and an adorable 3 year old.

Another great Emma Hart rom-com. Mason and Imogen had great chemistry between the sheets and great bickering out of them when they were in college. But then Mason graduates and promises to call Imogen but doesn't, and that hurts her. Now it appears that Mason is moving in next door, has a three year old daughter and is just as hot and impossibly annoying as before. When Imogen's eighty year old grandmother (who just happens to live with her) decides that she is going to play matchmaker, her no filter mouth and inappropriate friends bring great hilarity. Mason's daughter is so adorably cute that you just want to take her home with you. Witty, flirty and fun - another winner.
