It was pretty good. You don't normally know who the killer is right away- without a twist, or more time developing the villain, it was a lazy device. I still enjoyed it, but it is not my favorite in the series.

This one was far better than the last and it seems like it had a reappearing ghost author as many usual things were used such as snippets from the murder's point of view which I really enjoyed.

While I have absolutely enjoyed every single In Death book, this one was not the fast paced adrenaline ride I was in the mood for. It was great to see a female villain for a change and I liked that Eve dealt with all the intense triggers this particular case brought up for her. It showed the evolution of the character.

while I always enjoy Eve and Roark this book felt more like a filler, not much character time. a little appearance from Mavis and Mira, and the rest of the cast but no real "air time" with anyone.

As always Eve Dallas close another murder case successfully. I enjoyed it just as the previous books. I can't believe I read almost 50 books in the series and loved it so much. My highlight of these series is always Eve and her very delicious hubby, Roarke. Damn every time I read them together, it gets me blushing. They are everything 😁

Solid 4.5 ⭐️
I’m a Nora Roberts/JD Robb stan, and this is one of my favorite recent Eve Dallas stories. With 49 presently out, some are better than others, and this one ranks for me!
I loved knowing so early the *who* behind the crimes and getting to see things from that person’s perspective. Full psycho in this one, in the best way.
Would recommend!

After 49 books you would think this series would get old. Nope. Still one of my favorites with some laugh out loud moments between Eve and Roarke.

Great case, the gang is all there. Nothing especially new or different going on.
