Sort of spoilers so I wouldn’t read on if you haven’t read it!

Perfection. I speak from a fictional stand point. I dont have CF so i dont know how accurate it is in depicting the medical aspect. For these fictional characters i felt the love they shared. I felt the pain of grief. Hers in the form of a sibling and friend mine in the form of a grandmother. Both having forms of lost friendships. I felt their pain of separation and the frustration it brought on and i prayed for a happy ending i knew wasn’t possible. It was a perfect depiction of life — showing that happy endings don’t always occur. Perfect Heartbreak.

Sweet and heartbreaking story about two cystic fibrosis patients who fall in love, told from alternating perspectives. Ages 14 and up.

I'm not surprised by my rating on this book, I'm into cute YA romance but I'm not into CHEESY AS HELL, just not my thing. And that is exactly what this was, but you know I learned something because I had no idea what effects CF had on people, so that was interesting to read about.

I've been excited to read this book since seeing the film trailer a few months ago. However, I think I thought that the book was a separate thing, rather than what it appears to be--a novelization of the movie. I'm pretty sure the movie actually came first, even if it is being released after the book. This isn't a problem, I just wish I'd known it going in. I really liked the book, though. The characters felt very real to me and I learned a lot about cystic fibrosis that I didn't know before. I had a good time reading this and I'm excited for the movie!

Man oh man I cried like a baby even though I saw the movie and knew the whole story line. I’m a sucker for these tearjerker books so I gave it a 5 stars but I do see why people are rating it lower. Overall I loved it and will continue reading books of this nature
