Nice paced and dive deep into the MC mind and how she see the world. I was rooting for her the whole time!

intriguing

Right away from the beginning it pulled me in. It’s an intriguing story with a unique, flawed but like-able main character.

2⭐️ this books did not have any real substance to it. I felt that it jumped around a lot and didn’t have a solid storyline. I also was furious that ruby didn’t end up being found guilty even though she didn’t kill her husband due to the other 3 deaths she felt not guilt for. All around this just wasn’t a good read for me.

Definitely had higher hope for this when it first caught my eye - buddy read
Roman, Jesula and Ameena were OGs for the whole book (minus Roman’s one mistake and Jesula’s secret) but honestly regardless of those things they made the book.
It was interesting how Ruby could be so selfish and narcissistic but also be a great psychologist? Definitely a unique dynamic. I think the idea was different and unique but the story dragged and the narration viewpoint was strange and I just straight up never supported Ruby

Book regret time - I chose to do this as an audio. I wish so badly I had the physical copy of this book so I could pass it around and share it with all my friends.

The cover and title of the story were what peaked my interest immediately then I read the synopsis provided on the Libby app and I was hooked even further. If you’re looking for a good thriller, this is the one for you! I loved how each chapter had chapter titles and the title of the book got revealed the further you read. This book was well written and I hated when it was over.

I enjoyed this book, it hooked the right away. It’s paced well, not too fast or slow. I liked Ruby and I liked the writing. I liked the ending but I think I felt a little underwhelmed by the twist/ending.

Our protagonist has had a hand in killing some people, but now she stands accused of killing her husband. She reflects on her past as we learn how she got to this place. The storytelling comes together well.
