I am so speechless. I loved getting to see both Cane and Crow show so much emotion and be themselves. To show that they may be super strong men but that they also have a sweet and soft side. But holy cow that ending. Like I don’t even know what to say, I can’t wait to find out what happens next for all the characters. I am totally in love with this story and I’m so invested in the whole Barsetti team. January cannot come fast enough, I need to know what happens next!

Still good. Just not not as good as the original 3.
Liked that they took down Tristan. Don’t like that she went back to him for a week- yuck.
Excited that buttons is pregnant!

Buttons and Blame continues where Buttons and Shame left off. I love how these books mesh together. There is no time gap in between books. It's just bam bam bam. Almost like one book separated into six. I really love that there are no time gaps. Thank you Penelope for not leaving blank time spaces.
In this book, Cane is falling for Adelina. He refuses to show it and he refuses to acknowledge it. He still plans on giving her back to Tristan, equipped with the cyanide pills. I love watching their relationship blossom. It's beautiful that she can trust Cane after what Tristan and his goons have done to her.
What I don't love, which I'm sure everyone else does, is Crow and Pearl's point of views. I loved the books about them. But this isn't really about them anymore. We shouldn't get their POVs anymore. Just Cane and Adelina's. I do enjoy how their story is going, but these three books are supposed to be about Cane and Adelina. Why do we need four POVs?
This book made up for the action we didn't get in Buttons and Shame. We get to see Cane's emotional turmoil over taking Adelina back to Tristan. We get to see him decide to get her back. We get to see the action. The kills. It's amazing. We get that dark part of this romance.
I do like that this book is left off with a cliff hanger. You're literally at the very edge of the cliff with this one. Like, wtf. I need to know what happens ASAP. Luckily for me, I have the last book in this series and so I do not have to wait to find out.
So many things happened in this book and I loved it. It was much better than Buttons and Shame. I have higher hopes for how this series will end now.

Holy crap this series just gets better and better. Cane continues to fight with his feelings for Adelina and knows he has to give her back to Tristian. Crow is furious with Pearl because she has tried to help save Adelina as well. In the end, Cane steals Adelina back but now Tristian is out for revenge. Will he seek retribution against Cane to hurt Adelina or will he go after Crow and harm Pearl. This storyline had more twists and turns than a rollercoaster and I could not put it down. The depth of the love that these characters have for each other is at times heartwarming but at others heart breaking. Just when you think you can breathe again, the plot twists and the emotions run high. I cannot wait for more in this series.

Penelope Sky really said I am done, sike!
Pearl and Crow take up about 1/4 of this book, which is about 1/8 too much IMO. Pearl almost turns into the whiny romantic lead who doesn't know whats best for her and is too stupid to have a single thought.
Cane is not a good guy either and once again some scenes are questionable when it comes to consent, but less so. Everything in this series is a notch tamer. Adeline is enjoyable and I like her more than Pearl because she thinks for herself and is dedicated.
These two pick each other time and time again and that is what is redeeming for this series!

When Cane is like you should go home to your family after I rescue you, she is like Uh ya? Obviously....These two pick each other time and time again and that is what is redeeming for this series!
