This is my new favorite Staci Hart book. I loved Val and Sam.
This book made me feel so much. I felt like I was Val during this story. I could feel my heartbreaking throughout the story, riding the highs and lows that she endured. She has such an amazing attitude. <3 And Sam.... ugh. He is so swoony. I wish I could find my own version. There was music and swing dancing in this story. Swing dancing is amazing to watch and it was so exciting to see a story about it. But what I adored most is the message that this story sends to women. "There is no one like you in the whole wild world." Embrace your flaws and make them your signature. Gah. Just hit me right in the heart. All of us have been there, doubting if we are good enough... and we are. Thank you Staci for reminding us.

I love Staci Hart! This book was everything I was hoping for. Catching up with the Red Lipstick Coalition was SO much fun! I cannot wait for Amelia’s story! (Coming in Jan 19).

As always, Staci writes perfection. The language in this book is amazing. I was immediately drawn into the story and did NOT want to put it down.

Val is such a great character. I immediately fell in love with her. She is full of life and enthusiastic optimism. Her passion and joy just radiated off the page.

Sam is such an endearing hero. His romantic soul just melts the heart. He was perfect.

Some of my favorite characters were Sam and Val’s parents. They were such lovely families.

I cannot say enough good about this book. Grab “Piece of Work” (Rin and Court’s story) and then this one.

I'm loving this series but this book so far has been the best. I think its Val character that speaks more towards me. I can't wait for the next books of this series. As the girls in these books just make you want to join in their job and get some lipstick as well!

Oh my me....this story!! The Red Lipstick Collation (RLC) is at it again!

Player is the story of Val and Sam...and what a beautiful story it was!

I loved the way she made the art of dance a metaphor for the beginning of their relationship.  I loved the way she made the music the song of love.

The imagery of this story is phenomenal! There was many times after reading a paragraph, I would have to stop and close my eyes and I could "see" the scene.  Whether it was the orchestra pit or Sway, it was hypnotic.  

I so empathize with Val, I could so see myself in so many of her mannerisms and that just brought me more into the story.  She is fierce because she has to be, there wasn't a choice.  Her family was amazing! Funny, strong and loyal to each other.  The multi-generations coming together made Val stronger.

Sam, oh Sam....he was amazing! He is beautiful, inside and out.  How he treated Val, even in the beginning, when he didn't have to, he treated her like a princess.  He loved her hard, hard enough for Val to learn to love herself again!

And the gals of the RLC, Katherine, Rin and Amelia. Who doesn't love a group of girls that prop you up, wipe your tears and draw diagrams for sexual positions?!?  We all need our own RLC...I know I do! In fact I bought my own tube of red lipstick...waiting for that moment to wear it!!

I cannot wait to read Amelia's story next!! 

Oh how I adored this story and its concept. The fact you have orchestra players just made me smile because it is so unique. But then you have Val. She is so sassy yet so innocent in a lot of ways. I felt like it was me. Being so self conscious about herself because she isn’t a size 2. But then you have Sam who just wants to make her see how beautiful she is. Regardless of the messy stuff and Ian, I loved how Sam just wanted to make Val see what he sees. But I adored how Sam is also not feeling worthy of the love of a woman like Val. They are both flawed in their own ways. I loved the flow of the story and the giggles. Val’s pick up lines had me chuckling pretty good! I also adore how Sam goes to his mother for advice. A lot of guys do not do that!
Overall, this was a brilliant story and I could not put it down. There were the perfect amount of ups and downs that keep you guessing what will happen next. These two together and their chemistry is sizzling. Thank you Ms Hart for another stunning story! Bring on more of these unique and fun characters!

To be honest, I'd be more than happy to just have an entire about surrounding this amazing and beautiful girl tribe. I want them in my life forever and it's one thing that I absolutely can't wait for when it comes to this series. They're seriously the best group of gals to ALWAYS have on your side!

Besides the epic love story that we get, these stories will send a message and empower you in some sort of way. To love yourself for being exactly who you are. Who cares what anyone thinks of you … I could share several words with people who have something bad to say about me. But you know, gotta take the high road sometimes. Other than that, you will absolutely be inspired by this!

Okay, the loveeeeee. I'll be honest and say I was a bit nervous about Sam, anything with a bet never ends well. And despite his growing feelings towards Val, I just wanted to punch him and yell , "tell Val the truth". A player was the perfect word to describe with his charms and looks. It's so easy to see why anyone would fall for him. But he also was a genuinely nice guy! I loved how he treated Val and was constantly supporting her.

Val totally made this book for me! Like I mentioned early, she's a character we can all relate to. She's just so pure and has a heart of gold. It's okay to be totally fierce and badass, and also have insecurities. It makes us human. I think we all can see a little bit of ourselves in Val.

I really enjoyed the music and dancing elements that Staci brought into this book. It made everything so much more lively. I am an orchestra nerd, so I get super excited whenever I read a book that has this in it.

Absolutely enjoyed this read! Can't wait for the next one in this amazing series!
