Adorable, but not my preferred genre.

I thought it was cute and it held my attention. It was interesting and it was awesome to see how everything fit together. I thought this was a romance story and in some respect it is, but the scavenger hunt is the more important part in Darren's story and for Decklee it was her career and what she wanted. In the end I did not like Decklee as a human but I think that's the point.

really cute book and very well written. my only problems (? idk if you can call it that) are how similar the story is to the seven husbands of evelyn hugo. that’s not inherently a bad thing, but it was just in the back of my mind the whole time.

the difference between this and evelyn hugo is that this story is more young adult, the superstar character is a country artist instead of actress, and there is more focus on the journalist character.

that being said, that doesn’t make the book bad in anyway, it just kept me from enjoying it as much as i could if i hadn’t read the other book beforehand.

i think i might reread this at some point, i think it would be more interesting to know what is already going to happen.

overall, a nice fun read/listen. we love a queer celebrity story. the audiobook readers were great and really captured the characters well. :-)

This book is genuinely so beautiful and I couldn’t put it down. I cried multiple times and it’s just so heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I loved it so much
