Every Time You Hear That Song by Jenna Voris
3.0
really cute book and very well written. my only problems (? idk if you can call it that) are how similar the story is to the seven husbands of evelyn hugo. that’s not inherently a bad thing, but it was just in the back of my mind the whole time.
the difference between this and evelyn hugo is that this story is more young adult, the superstar character is a country artist instead of actress, and there is more focus on the journalist character.
that being said, that doesn’t make the book bad in anyway, it just kept me from enjoying it as much as i could if i hadn’t read the other book beforehand.
i think i might reread this at some point, i think it would be more interesting to know what is already going to happen.
overall, a nice fun read/listen. we love a queer celebrity story. the audiobook readers were great and really captured the characters well. :-)
