Did not enjoy the narrator on the audiobook - and I’m glad to see it’s a different voice for the sequel.

This was really fun!!

If I had to describe this book it would be a written version of a Netflix Halloween themed rom-com with some spicy scenes thrown in between two people who never really resolved their issues from 9 years before. There area few plot holes that are never really explained at the end of the book and it was never fully flushed out details for the main female character because I definitely wanted to know when, how, and why her journey of becoming a witch later in life affected the events of the book. But overall you've a cute quick rom-com read for the autumn season without to much depth. Just something fun and light to read, if exercising a ghost as a date could be considered fun. I will be reading the other two books. The third one comes out in early October. So I think between these three it will help set the mood for a nice, slightly spooky, but not horror filled Halloween season.

3.5, rounded up. Cute story and fun for the seasonal Fall vibes. I felt the ending was very rushed, but I look forward to seeing some characters make reappearances in book #2 coming out in a few weeks :)

fantasy/magic stuff is not for me

This was a fun light read with a little dash of spice. Idk if i would read it again but it’s definitely a cute read.
