It was fine, but it didn’t pull me in much. I like fantasy with romance and romantasy but this felt more magical romance. Or maybe it was the audiobook format. I’d give 2.5 ⭐️ for being halfway between okay and liking it.

This was a cute quick read, I'm really enjoying reading all of these witchy books--although I don't know what possessed me to start reading them in January. Regardless, as far as cozy fantasy which books go, this one is very run of the mill. Same vibes and similar plotline to the other two I read this month, but if it ain't broke!! I enjoyed the little splash of diversity with the mmc being Welsh, although listening to someone say "shite" unironically was definitely an experience. Honestly at this point I don't think I have much to say about this book that wasn't said about the other two witchy books I read. The setting was cozy (although not the coziest I read), the magic was witchy (not the witchiest ive read), and the plot was there (eh.) Regardless, it was fun! I'd read the next one!

despite being outside of my usual preferred genre, I enjoyed this book.
Maybe it was the witchy aspect LOL!

For a fun rom-com, this is def. a top pick for me.

I do wish maybe there was a more elaborate explanation between the two MC and their love story.
Maybe it had something to do with being two strong magical families?
Maybe it was because of Gryffud?

The book was cute and I loved the whole witch vibes that were going off, 2 stars just because I wish something more spectacular happened at the end.

Like cheesy nacho dip: does what it says on the tin, and does it well.
