I enjoyed the premise for this book, it was fun. However, I did spend a lot of it distracted or bored, it didn’t really hold my attention all the time.

The plot was interesting enough, but it would've been more interesting had the romance been fit into the book better. I couldn't really feel any actual chemistry between the romantic leads and the resolution kind of felt forced, in my opinion. It felt like the story should've been a trilogy, and the romantic resolution should've been somewhere in the third book but not the very end. The world the author built would've suited a multi-book arc just fine. In fact, it may actually warrant a multi-book story because it is an explorable contemporary fantasy world. Make of that what you will.

This witchy book is fabulous! I devoured it in a couple of days during spooky season and I loved every bit of it. If you’re looking for something light, but spooky (no scares involved), this is the book for you! The Ex Hex is about a witch named Vivienne Jones who *accidentally* put a curse on her ex-boyfriend, Rhys Penhallow, for funsies and he doesn’t even know it.

Fast forward nine years and Rhys has plans to return to Vivienne’s witchy town to recharge the town’s ley lines. But when Rhys arrives, Vivienne learns that her *for funsies* hex that she put on Rhys has some pretty strange consequences...I found The Ex Hex to be absolutely hilarious and a perfect read for spooky season, although this book is honestly perfect for any season.

The Ex Hex is great if you don’t want anything heavy or deep. There is no plot, the spice is more like steam and by the end it feels very one note. Despite that, it was very funny and made me laugh out loud a few times!

Quick and fun read with lovable characters. The two leads are charming with a ton of chemistry to keep you rooting for them the whole way through. It’s a tad rushed at the end, but otherwise paced well. And it has a strong Halloween theme, that makes it perfect for an October read.

This book is perfectly fine, it has good pacing, and it's overall a fun witchy Halloween-y read. Parts of the story felt rushed, such as any steamier part. The 3rd act conflict could have opened up a backstory seeped in older magic and deeper story telling, but I get the author was probably only allowed so many pages. Made for quick Halloween read.
