4.5 ⭐s. This was everything I wanted out of a witchy romance and more. Excuse me while I chase this high by reading every other one I can get my hands on. Thank God it seems to be trending rn.

It reads like a hallmark movie that was so horny it forgot the plot for half the book. The last few chapters were OK because something actually happened in them. The characters are cold towards their mistakes and kinda ignorant. The writing can be very weird at times, describing her knees as watery when she means weak and saying she felt the heart beating under her hand like a tattoo. Very odd. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just want to shut your brain off and read some sex scenes too.

This book was a nice, quick read. I think it got a tad muddled in the middle, but picked right back up towards end. Ver seasonal and fun.

THE YEARNING UGHHH. This book was so so so good??? Erin Sterling (alternatively Rachel Hawkins) has written some FAB books and this one seems to fit her aesthetic the most. I've primarily read her YA romances and idk something about this book just made it seem like the author was much more at home with the age, characters, and world building.

I loved the second chance romance. The initial breakup wasn't too unreasonable or insignificant to the rekindling of the romance. I loved how drawn out the mutual pining was even WHILE they were hooking up.

I thoroughly loved the small town witch lore that was cultivated. I kept thinking of The Raven Boys books but like adult and *better*. I also really really loved the delicate balance between character driven and conflict driven. It kept the pacing of the book nice and brusque. There was no place for me to get bored which explains why I finished this in a day.

So so so good and I can't wait for what looks to be a sapphic companion heheheheh

If Practical Magic allowed boning, you would get this book. I absolutely loved this book. A delight from page one, and just fun and cute and I loved it.

A cute romcom with some spice but make it about witches? Say less.

This was so cute! It was your usual cute fun romcom, but add witches dealing with the mess they made due to broken hearts and hex’s.

I loved Rhys and his snarky comments & then add him being British??? Sold. I thought Rhys and Vivianne’s relationship was really cute, and I liked the build up to it. They had good banter and tension between them. I also really enjoyed reading about their mess with the curse and having to put out all the little fires because of it.

That being said it did feel like it was missing something, everything just resolved so quickly and easily at the end and it felt too simple for me. The book itself was enjoyable overall but not omgggg I absolutely adored everything about it if that makes sense which is why it was just shy of 4 stars.

This book was a cute romance perfect for quick fall time read! 🍂
