This book was very helpful for me. Adapted from a talk, it is very short and useful in framing the work of inviting people in to sharing resources for needed work.

This was a great, short read, packed with many a powerful word on the spirituality of fundraising. Nouwen's perspective on fundraising is one that draws on spiritual commonsense. What I mean is, if we have paid any attention to Jesus and his teachings, then how we fundraise should be rooted in the Way that Jesus would have us enter relationship with others.

Never did I think I would be excited about the idea of fundraising, but Nouwen reframes what fundraising is and how it works. For Nouwen, fundraising is ministry in and of itself. He discusses a lot in this short book, such as our relationship to money.

I highly recommend this book to people in ministry. The whole book is 40 pages, free PDF online.

A quick but profound read on how fundraising is a spiritual practice. Fundraising is about so much more than money; it's an invitation to worship God and go deeper in one's spiritual life.

A must-read for anyone who has to raise funds; it's one I have a feeling I'll re-read at least annually.
