I found this book to be very relatable and funny. I loved reading in Chandler’s voice throughout the whole thing.

This was such a good book. I cried and laughed. I’ve always loved Matthew Perry and I had no clue all he went through. He is way more than just Chandler Bing. And I am so sad he is gone.

DNF’ed not necessarily because it was bad, but because it’s HEAVY and heartbreaking and I just can’t do it

I didn't necessarily end this book loving Matthew Perry, but I did respect him for his journey to sobriety -- and what a journey it was! I learned a lot about addiction and detox and a lot more. That was the "big terrible thing" part of the book and the most interesting. The "Friends" part of the book was interesting, too. The "lovers" part...not so much.

Not sure if I can give this any rating just because I feel so badly rating a man’s book who was so honest about his years long addictions. 5 stars for your story about addiction and overcoming it? 3 stars for it because it’s so sad? So no rating for Mr. Perry but thank you for being so transparent with your struggles and your journey to sobriety.

Tough read, but really interesting and insightful look into Matthew Perry’s brain. Addiction is hard, and listening to a slurred speaking Matthew Perry made for a tough 6 hours. I would recommend reading it instead of listening.
