In the author's note at the back of the Ladies of Ivy Cottage, Julie Klassen acknowledges the real women behind the fictional Ladies Tea and knitting Society in the book. Two of these women I know personally. It was fun reading the book and see how Klassen portrayed these two in the book.

I'm looking forward to reading the last book in the series.

I liked this even more than the first. I so enjoyed returning to Ivy Hill and learning more about its families, friendships, intrigues, and mild mysteries.
The author has a clear, intelligent way of writing that gives her readers ample credit to pick up on nuance in the story and characters. I appreciate that.

I am thoroughly enjoying life in Ivy Hill. I feel like I’m binge-watching an old favorite show for the first time. Just good storytelling, cozy vibes and a sense of not wanting the stories to end. Love it!

I wasn't actually QUITE sure which guy was going to end up with which girl at the end of this story and I appreciated the unpredictability as the story of Ivy Hill continues in this 2nd tale. I'm really enjoying this series! I loved the weaving in of Jane Austen to tie in the final romantic plot point. AHHHH SO SWEET.

Again, if you do not like Regency books that move similar to speed to Jane Austen, you may not enjoy this one. I do, hence the great enjoyment.
I had waited to read both of the books near to one another, but when I finished this one, I was dismayed that I will be waiting another year for the next one. There were some resolutions, but not nearly enough for me!
The romance is a little more in this one than the first one, but again, very, very light throughout. It is not the storyline as much as it is the tale of the "Ladies of Ivy Cottage".
I was struck by the way that the society was set up for women to struggle when they were unmarried.
Ms. Klassen does an excellent job of giving you a complete picture and painting the set up to make you want to read the next book as well.
