Not sure - parts I liked but so many things all tangled into one story.

The book has such a complex and interesting narrative. it’s beautifully written and explores so many emotions, from love to betrayal. The book carries several characters which stay with you from complicated friendships and short lived relationships. All through eyes of game developers. It makes me want to play the games in the book now!

Huge they/them representation; very cool. Slogged through some of the middle, but cried in the end. Loved it I think?

I loved this book so much. It was perfect expect for the fact I wish the video games were real because I’m dying to play them.

Really enjoyed the setting, and the way it was woven into the storytelling. All in all a pretty unique and interesting read. Now I just wanna play my favorite computer games.

DNF for me. I got so close to the end, but I realized I was just avoiding reading bc I had been trying to push through this book and not enjoying it. If you like video game creation maybe it’ll be of interest to you? It’s a lot about video game creation, a bit about life, love, friendship and loss. It was just dull for me. I wasn’t eager to know how it ends, I never felt excited to pick it up because it seems like not much happens. I need more plot.
