The Monogram Murders by Agatha Christie, Sophie Hannah
3.0
if you’re comparing this to an agatha christie - it’s honestly a 2.5/5, as poirot’s characterisation isn’t the same as christie’s.
however as a murder mystery it is easily a 4/5. the writing is enjoyable and the plot (or rather, the murdered) was guessable but was still an inkling of a surprise. and poirot was written well, despite there being a few slip ups. so for that reason i will give it a 3/5, purely because i do not think it is fair to compare it soley to agatha christie when of course the writing is not going to be the same.
