I found this book a little hard to get through at times purely because of the length, but the ending bumped it up to 5 stars for me as I’m now crying my eyes out lol. I loved Valentino and Orion and I loved how all the characters were linked in some way, I loved the sub plots as there were so many lovable characters.

This book had a small amount of good advice. The rest just annoyed me. How is this therapist going to sit there and tell someone who’s mental health is being significantly affected by a horrible job and a terrible boss not to quit? That seems the opposite of supportive and the opposite of what a therapist is supposed to do. I don’t know what it was about this book that rubbed me the wrong way, maybe it was the patronising tone of what people in their twenties should be doing, or maybe I was just annoyed by the amount of times I read the word “twentysomethings”. The book completely breezes over mental health and burnout and treats the twenties like a one size fits all. That is not the case and some people take longer to bloom or need different things to other people. It felt very like pushing people into societal norms of a capitalist society and I did not like that lol.

Wow, this book is so powerful. I feel like this is something that everyone needs to read, it brought me to tears. As a woman this book has now become so important to me as I can feel the pure feminine rage from the words. I can not only feel it but I relate to it and understand it, I can’t even put into words how important the topics this book touched upon were.

Wow, I flew through this book. It was so gripping and I absolutely loved the premise! It was like nothing I’ve ever read before, and I could hardly put it down as I really wanted to know what would happen next. The ending managed to surprise me!
As a neurodivergent person, the descriptions and some of the treatments described for autism were a little uncomfortable to read. I also feel that it’s a little generalising at some points.

Wow the rollercoaster ending was almost worth the slow first 300 pages. Twist upon twist upon twist, I didn’t predict the twists, it had me crying, speechless and gasping! Would have been higher rated if  the first 300 pages hadn’t  almost put me in a reading slump

I feel like nothing much really happened? This book almost put me in a reading slump, and I didn’t enjoy the writing style. It was just a bit slow paced and all over the place for me, and I wasn’t shocked at the twists.
